"Ser Harwin."

trigger warning: birth

Five Months Later...

Elaina stood next to the palace baker, helping the cooks make feast for her outing to the city today. Aegon was going to be joining her, as she wanted to teach her son the generosity of their people.

Viserys and Otto stood against it, finding her plan to bring Aegon along to be idiotic. Claiming he was far too young and could get injured easily. Which was true, but Elaina argued back that the people needed to know the crown still cared for them, in a way that they would not rebel from within.

Viserys thought about it and nodded his head, causing Elaina to smirk at how easily he was falling into her hands now. Otto narrowed his eyes at his daughter but nodded his head.

So here she stood, helping make preparations. Elaina was elated to bring her son with her, to show him the world outside of the castle walls.

Ser Harrold had happily taken on the role of watching over the Queen and the little prince, knowing that the mother and son wouldn't want to be crowded with armed men.

"Please have the sweets and other goods ready soon, I will be down by the steps of the castle with the prince," Elaina said, announcing her command to the staff in the kitchen.

A chorus of 'Yes, Your Grace,' was heard and with a smile on her face, Elaina strutted away and headed for her son's room. Her mind was busy with her plans to spend the day out with the children in the orphanage.

Elaina couldn't wait to see the fresh new clothes she had ordered to be crafted or the new small wooden toys Aegon had helped her design for the children to play with.

It had been five moons since Rhaenyra's departure, and within that time Otto had devised a plan for his second daughter. Something that would either make or break the mind, of his beloved eldest daughter. She would have to hear it once she comes back from her trip.

Stuck in her head, with thoughts that swirled with wonder and excitement. Elaina had bumped into a large stiff body, the stranger's arms quickly wrapping themselves around her waist to prevent her from meeting the floor.

Colors of brown met, staring at one another with intensity, yet a warmth hugging within them. Elaina gaped at the man in front of her, the same man she had spent her nights in the corners of the library, talking and getting to know each other wasting the night away.
