"He is your blood, Viserys! Our child!"

tw: domestic violence, blood, and gore

"Mother, Daeron won't stop being a bother!" Aegon wails, whining to Elaina, who smiles softly at her children before glancing at Laenor's stiff figure in the body of water.

Those who may not know the Velaryon family may think the grieving man had drowned himself to be with his sister. But, Elaina knew that Laenor needed to do what he needed to help him even if she wanted to be with him every step. Her son was going to be alright.

Was she? The question pegs at the back of her mind.

Elaina had left the twins with Rhaenys, as Jacaerys approached them. Elaina knew that the woman needed to comfort herself and the children, and she would respect that.

"Lyonel Strong's son's been staring at you since the moment you arrived, Your Grace," A familiar gruff voice said, startling the Queen.

Elaina turned her attention away from Laenor and onto the man she had been sending letters to for years. Cregan Stark smirked at her with mischievousness, that only the Northerner can send chills down in certain places a married woman should not feel.

Glancing over her shoulder, her eyes landed on the man resembling her past lover. He stared at her with an intensity she had not seen before. A man with an obsession.

Turning away and claiming her eyes back on the tall built man in front of her, Elaina stood up straight, shoulders down, and head held high.

Cregan let his eyes drift slowly down at her lips and down onto her neck, then her collarbones, then stopping at her breast that lay perfectly in her dress.

Elaina coughed to get his attention, a blush coating her face as she realized what he was staring at. The Queen had worn a simple black dress with a black wide thin cloth to drape over her covered shoulders, yet a man will always find a way to see what they want to see.

"It is only a look of pride, Lord Stark. Larys is the new Lord of Harrenhal," Elaina responded.

Cregan cleared his throat awkwardly, noticing he had been caught. He nodded his head, yet kept a close eye on the man with a cane. His eyes connected with Ser Criston who nodded at him, both men sharing a silent conversation as they would watch out for the same man.

"It is nice to see you again, Your Grace," Cregan said, his voice going low. His eyes stared at her with comfort and pity.

Elaina stared back at him, her heart beating a little faster as his deep chocolate-brown eyes stared into her own hazel ones. The look of pity almost made her turn away, if not for the caring soft gaze he was giving her.
