"Aegon Targaryen shall be mine,"

"A son you may be, to The Seven Kindoms. But, you... Aegon Targaryen shall be mine,"

Aegon glanced up at his mother, not fully understanding her words. His little hands slowly reached up to cup her cheek, before a burst of giggles came out of him.

His mother looked beautiful, a goddess in his eyes. Little Aegon believed his mother was nothing but such.

Aegon adored his mother, the way she spoke to him, or the way she held him whenever he got upset. His mother was always there, loving him regardless of his temper tantrums.

"Mama..." Little Aegon whispered, smiling brightly up at his mother.

"Sleep now, my little prince. Mother will be here," Elaina whispered, cooing her son to sleep.

With one last kiss on his head, Aegon sighed softly before letting his eyes fall shut. Letting dreams take over his mind, with reassurance that his mother would always be by his side.

Aegon yelled out in pain and frustration, remembering the memory play in his head.

A painful stab course through his heart, as an image of his mother's frail body covered in blood played in his head relentlessly.

A sob choked out of his mouth, as the prince clutched his chest in anger and pain.

The snow crushed under the weight of his body falling down. His kneeling body in front of an old tree, in a little clearing surrounded by other trees.

"...Two men had come to murder... Prince Jaehaerys--..."

Another wretched sob chokes out of him, remembering his brother's words.

His sweet boy, his oldest boy. Now gone, and he didn't even get to see him. Tell him that his father loved him very much.

"Papa," Little Jaehaerys whispered, calling out to his father.

Aegon smiled, reaching down to push the stray hairs away from his son's little face.

"My little prince, it is time for bed. Father is here,"

Aegon's heart ached at another memory, an ache so painful that his chest tightened. His lungs felt like exploding, his head ached as it pounded at his skull.

The ghost of his son's touch, now forever gone. His son, a pawn to a game they all never wanted to play.

Aegon hugged himself while overwhelming emotions of agony poured out of him. His son dead, his sister and children harmed, and his mother on the verge of death.

"Damn you! Damn everything to ever come from this cursed family!" Aegon screamed, punching the ground with anger. His fists bleeding as he repeated his words.

"I will kill them, I vow it take everything they love just as they did to me," Aegon vowed, his throat scratchy as the venom in his voice was heard.

"Uncle..."

A voice called out to him cautiously, not wanting to startle him.

   "You..."

Aegon stood up, his face contorted in anger. All Aegon could see was the face of the woman who ruined his life.

Lucerys scared, stumbled back and falling down as Aegon threw himself on top of the boy.

Aegon grabbed Lucerys' collar, yanking the boy's body aggressively.

"I'm gonna kill you, and your family for what they've done to mine. I vow that to the gods above, and below," Aegon spat out.

   "I'm sorry...I'm sorry, uncle,"

Luke stuttered, his lip wavering as tears welled up in his eyes. Knowing what was done, Luke knew the actions done by his parents could never be forgiven.

   "Aegon!"

Lucien's voice shouted toward them, as he got closer and yanked the prince off the younger boy.

Aegon thrashed in his uncle's arms, letting the rage course through his body.

Luke heaved, eyes wide as he stared at Aegon with fear.

"Gentlemen...Please," Lucien's exhausted expression pleaded the boys.

"His damn mother and wretched father murdered my son! They are the reason why my mother is laying on her death bed!" Aegon yelled out, sobbing as he struggled to release himself from the hold.

Lucien held him tighter, not wanting to let the boy go. Not wanting to let his nephew break even further.

   "I'm sorry..."

Luke muttered, not knowing what else to say as he watched his once charming yet sarcastic uncle crumble into a broken man.

"It is not Lucerys' fault. We will get through this. Your sister needs you now, you children...Your mother...They all need you," Lucien said, trying to comfort Aegon as best as he could while his own heart ached at his family's loss.

"My son...is dead. My mother is dying...nothing will ever be okay," Aegon muttered, going slump against Lucien's hold. His body numb as the pain never seemed to go away.

"Let us be inside, and be with one another in this time of need," Lucien said, guiding Aegon up.

"N-No...I need to fly home, I need to make sure Helaena and my children are...are..."Aegon trailed off, his mind dissociating.

"And you will, once you get yourself together. You are not stable to ride your dragon," Lucien replied, bringing sense.

Luke stared in silence, afraid if he spoke he would trigger his uncle again.

   "Now—"

A rumble cut through the sky, a flap of wings was seen through clouds. A dragon.

The trio stared up confused, before realization struck two out of the three. Their hearts beating faster, knowing what awaits them.

   Prince Daeron has come home.
