"Where is my daughter?"

"Hello, Mother," a voice said, startling Elaina.

Elaina spun around in the void of darkness, seeing her daughter. Her sweet girl Helaena, was in front of her.

"Helaena...My love, what are you doing here? How are you here?" Elaina asked, bringing Helaena into her arms.

Helaena embraced her mother tightly, basking in the warmth that she'd miss dearly. Her heart ached as her mother pulled away slightly and stared at her with so much love and adoration.

"What's wrong? Are you alright? Are the children alright?" Elaina asked, spewing out her questions as she looked over her daughter worriedly.

Helaena stared at her mother with a longing lost look, her eyes wide. With a blink of an eye, Elaina was now staring into a younger version of her daughter. One where she would cuddle late into the night and read stories too.

"I love you, mama. Thank you for being my mother, and I promise I'll choose you again in the next," Helaena whispered, hugging her mother tightly before pulling away.

Elaina stared at her in confusion, as a panic slowly set in. The Queen shook her head softly, understanding what the princess meant.

The void of emptiness around them had slowly faded as a tunnel surrounded them, a bright light at the end had appeared. Welcoming them with open arms.

"Wait, Wait! Helaena, please, where are you going?" Elaina asked, her voice breaking as she watched her daughter start walking away.

Helaena turned around, smiling at her mother. Tears brimming her eyes as she held herself.

   "I love you, mother,"

Elaina watched as her daughter turned away and began walking toward the light. Before Helaena picked up her pace, then making a run for it.

Helaena burst into a fit of laughter as she got closer, the warmth slowly embracing her.

"Mama!" A child like voice called out to her.

Helaena's laughter had gotten louder, before finally, Elaina could no longer see her daughter. The mother's heart ached with agony, yet a sense of peace had washed over her.

"I love you, my sweet girl. Rest now," Elaina whispered before the light flashed before her eyes, blinding her.

It was quiet for a moment, a soft buzzing sound was playing in her ears. Then, a crackle of a fire had snapped in her ears. The warmth and cold clashing together as they lay on her skin.

Elaina groaned, an overwhelming ache and soreness overcame her. Her body was stiff and it had been difficult to move, yet she stretched as much as she could.
