As each day went by, Daisuke Fukuda, a security officer at the hospital where Hideaki was being treated, pondered intensely about the situation.
"Why... Why let such criminal scum like him go free, back into this city?" he asked his fiancée.
The woman exuded an aura of divinity and elegance, captivating those around her. Slightly younger than the security guard, she possessed luscious dark brown hair complemented by striking yellow eyes that stood out behind stylish black round glasses. With subtle makeup, she emanated a feminine and fashionable presence through her attire.
Seated together in their living room, the woman leaned in closer to Daisuke, wrapping her arms around his neck while gently resting her fingers on his chest.
"I don't know, darling. But I'm sure they have their reasons."
"But how could any thinking human allow this? We're going to heal and protect a murderer, only to let him roam free and potentially commit more crimes? It's utter nonsense!" He felt rage intensifying as he reconsidered the entire situation.
"I understand, my dear... But we can't always expect wise decisions from people. Perhaps you're the only sober one in all of this?" Her soothing voice was almost enchanting, drawing him closer.
"Maybe... Maybe you're right. Doctors focus so much on helping others that they may overlook the danger. But then... Doctor Watanabe said he was perfectly aware of who this... this trash is..."
"Yes, and?"
"And that means he had to make some tough decisions!"
"But what if he didn't...? What if his intentions were solely focused on healing others?"
"Hm... Could it be...? In fact, he told me he wants to help people, whoever that may be..."
"Oh, he's so kind-hearted..." she said sarcastically.
"He certainly wants the best for his patients... But what if we hadn't been there in time? What if that maniac harmed that nurse more than he did??"
"That would be awful..."
"Yeah... And if I hadn't restrained him, it could have ended tragically!"
"You're such a brave strong man," she said, trying to compliment him.
"Hehe, thanks." Daisuke blushed at her words, gently placing his strong hand over her delicate one.
"You said no one made any move to inform the police about the serial killer at the hospital?" she asked curiously.
"Yeah..."
"Then maybe... you should do it yourself?"
"Me...? But... Can I really lead this case alone? I'm just a security guard..."
"Darling... But you're also the most reasonable one here. You saw what such people can do. They only harm others. And you said it's nonsense to let criminals roam free."
"That's true..."
"Then why not give it a chance? You could be a hero... A hero who saves potentially thousands of lives from that killer."
"You think...?"
"Mhm! After all, you'll be praised for doing such a generous favor to all of Tokyo. You might even get a reward!"
"Well... preventing such threats is a must. I... I think you're right. You know how much I hate criminals. I would do anything to put another one in jail, where they belong! Everything to keep people around me safe." A moment of silence hung in the room as he contemplated the solution she offered. "I will do it. If no one else will, then I will be the one to stop this murderer in Tokyo, once and for all! Who knows... Maybe they'll let me join their ranks as a police officer? My dream would come true..." He said proudly.
