After all the recent chaos, Seiji's life had settled into a semblance of normalcy - or at least, as normal as life could be with a serial killer for a roommate.
Seiji locked himself in his room, craving some peace and quiet. His goal was simple: to find his old yukata for tomorrow. But with Hideaki around, even simple tasks had a tendency to become complicated. After rummaging through his closet for what felt like an eternity, Seiji finally pulled out the navy-blue yukata, impeccably folded as he'd left it. A rare smile tugged at his lips. 'Still in perfect condition.'
As Seiji hung the garment back in the closet, he heard loud banging on the door.
"OPEN THE FUCKING DOOR! WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING, HUH!? SETTING UP SOME TRAP FOR ME!?" Hideaki's paranoia had, once again, flared up.
Seiji let out a soft sigh, shaking his head. After finishing his task, he unlocked the door and was greeted by Hideaki's intense glare.
"I was just looking for something," Seiji replied with a calm smile, completely unfazed by Hideaki's outburst.
Hideaki clicked his tongue, his eyes narrowing suspiciously.
"Tch! Yeah sure... And what are you smiling at!? Laughing at me behind that door!?"Seiji's smile remained in place as he calmly responded.
"I'm smiling because I found what I was looking for. Remember what I said a few weeks ago? Someone important is visiting me.""And what does that have to do with anything?" Hideaki's curiosity started to overtake his irritation.
Seiji closed the closet and turned to face him fully.
"They're coming tomorrow. I'm picking them up after work."Hideaki blinked, surprised.
"Tomorrow? Tch... Time flies."Seiji chuckled lightly.
"Yes, it does."Hideaki leaned against the doorframe, crossing his arms.
"I hope this person isn't some brat trying to challenge me to a duel."Seiji laughed, the sound catching Hideaki off guard.
"No, no... I don't think she has any interest in dueling you. She doesn't even know you exist, actually.""She?" Hideaki's eyebrows shot up in surprise.
"Yes, it's my younger sister. She's visiting for a few days during her summer break."
Hideaki stared at him for a moment, processing the information.
"Mhm..."Seiji's tone became a bit more serious as he continued.
"And Hideaki... Please, behave tomorrow. I don't want you to cause any problems or embarrass me."Hideaki immediately bristled, his face twisting into a scowl.
"Huh? I always behave!"Seiji raised an eyebrow, clearly not buying it.
"Sure... except when you don't." He softened his voice slightly, but the meaning was clear. "Just... try. For me."Hideaki muttered under his breath, clearly irritated.
"Tch. Fine. Whatever."Seiji nodded, knowing that was the best he could get from him.
"Good night, Hideaki.""Tch. Bye."
As Hideaki left the room, Seiji sighed softly, already bracing himself for tomorrow's potential chaos.
Hideaki flopped onto the couch, pulling the blanket over himself, still fuming over Seiji's request.
"Undisciplined? Me? Idiot..."
He tossed and turned, too angry to sleep, grumbling insults under his breath until exhaustion finally caught up with him.
