"Of course, if you have no problem, then all is well," Aylin smiles into the phone, pacing back and forth.
Can sighs boredly, chewing on his glasses where he's leaning against a tree listening and waiting.
"Have a nice day," Aylin hangs up and he looks at her, waiting for feedback. "Well, they don't seem to have a problem with us using Osman again. Sounds like they actually prefer him to Cemil." She had been busy trying to get them to work with Cemil because Osman wasn't an actual paid actor and just a stand in. Also, she had to wangle a deal with Cemil's agent for them to use him in their advertisement in the first place. "Do you want to use him again?"
"Of course we do," Deren snorts. "He was better than Cemil anyway. But don't worry about it, I can handle that part," Deren waves her off. "You don't have to do a thing."
Aylin rolls her eyes and looks away.
"Can, we'll also need to draw up a new budget to give to Organette for the unforeseen expenses as soon as we can," Deren goes on to the next topic without waiting.
"Tell Emre, that's his job."
"Okay," Deren nods and starts typing a message to Emre right away.
"Mr Can?" Guliz draws Can's attention, just getting off her own phone call and walking over. "Mr Tahir can't come back. He says he's booked up for the next two weeks."
We're paying him to do edits and direct, even re-edits and reshoots!
"Call Bahdur."
"I did, Mr Can, he's also busy."
Can purses his lips and Deren interjects seeing his frustration on his face. "Okay, uhm...let's call Pynara Yalchyn. We've worked with him before." Guliz nods. "Wait," Deren stops her. "I'll call, I'll be able to convince him easier anyway."
Can nods, his mind already off finding a new director as he looks around the set for Sanem, who's just up and disappeared when he wasn't looking. Last he saw her, she was at the picnic table. Where is she?
"Mr Can, Miss Deren!" They both turn to JJ, running over from the other side. "Er...most people seemed to like the vegetarian cutlets but I have no idea about the rest... They said they also liked the sewers...? Crates...?" He frowns. "Something like that, I don't know, I don't understand? How am I supposed to figure out what else who liked so it can be prepared again?" JJ asks in a rush.
"Sewer crates?" Aylin frowns. "Do you mean Sauerkraut?"
"Why didn't they say that on the list?!" JJ snaps at her. She lifts a brow and he looks down, breathing deeply. "It makes me uncomfortable when you speak, Miss Aylin, I'm sorry," he apologizes and then looks at Can, who has the same expression as Aylin on his face as he looked at him. "Sorry Mr Can."
"Just take the list and go through it with Osman, JJ. He will know what to do."
"Alright, Mr Can. Thank you." JJ nods and then grabs the list from the table and hurries away as Aylin glares after him.
Can sighs and shakes his head. It's been a long enough day without more of JJ's antics.
"Mr Can," Guliz pipes up and he looks at her. "The makeup artist can't come back either."
Of course not. Why would one of them be available?
"Maybe we should call Hakan? He did Miss Arzu's shoot, didn't he?"
Ah! Brilliant! "Yes, do that, Guliz, call him," he nods.
"On it." Guliz turns, already scrolling through her phone.
