"Are you people not used to food?!" Deren screeches from the door. "This is embarrassing!"
"But delicious!"
"Hm, give me more!"
"JJ, what's going on?" Can asks when he and Sanem get to him and Guliz.
"Mr Can, they seem to have skipped breakfast," JJ says sheepishly and Can purses his lips then steps past him to keeps going.
"Are they eating the pie?" Sanem asks and Guliz and JJ nod.
"Hm. It's almost gone too. One even bit a hand getting to it." Guliz nods at JJ's words and acts out a biting motion.
"It's very good Miss Deren."
"Here. Try a piece."
"I don't eat pie." Deren sniffs as Can enters behind them, and then asks curiously, not seeing him yet. "What is in it? If it's meat I can't eat it."
"It looks like eggplant."
"What's up guys?" Can says loudly.
They all pause, some midchew, and look at him with guilt ridden expressions.
"Alright, get out. I'll send the burek out to you. Come on, go."
"Thank you Mr Can." Ahmet already had the pan in his hand.
"Put it down," Can sighs.
"Wait, I want a piece," Deren says and looks at the in the middle where Ahmet places it, unable to get to it.
"I want a piece too," Sanem says and grabs a piece from the pan. "It was my mom that made it after all."
"Is it baked or fried?" Deren asks.
No one answers, only continuing in taking pieces before leaving. Sanem included, smelling the piece of pie in her hand with a smile and looking at Can before she takes a bite.
"Okay, then I won't eat any I guess, since I don't know if it's oily or not," Deren mutters.
"Your mother definitely knows how to cause a scene," Can jokes when it's just him, Deren and Sanem left, and Sanem shrugs, continuing to eat small bites with a smile on her face.

"Supervisor..." Nihat moves on to the next option, shaking his head. "Promoter...Supervisor...Promoter... It's all just supervisors and promoters? Where am I going to find a second job when these are all the options?" He huffs and starts from the top, thinking that he might have missed something more his speed.
"Good morning uncle Nihat, how are you?"
Nihat looks up at Muzaffer's voice and blinks when he sees his appearance. His hair is standing up and he looks like he's been through the wringer.
"I'm coming in." Muzaffer walks in saying this and sits on the chair opposite the counter.
"Of course," Nihat nods. "Morning Muzaffer, welcome."
"Thank you. Can we have tea? I think so." Muzaffer looks out the door and yells across the street. "Rahmi! Bring us tea! My throat is very dry! Hurry!"
"Alright Muzaffer!" Rahmi calls back.
Nihat looks away from the window at Muzaffer with wide eyes. "Muzaffer? Why do you look so sloppy son? What's wrong?"
"Sloppy?" Muzaffer frowns and looks down at his clothes. "By jove, you're right, I am sloppy. And you want to know why?" He looks up again. "It's because all of my sources are almost used up. I didn't want to look like this, but the house I'm a guest at..." Muzaffer trails off and shakes his head morosely. "Unless I tell them to iron my clothes, they don't do it. What should I do? I have to wear clothes, right?"
