"I'm asking you once, and don't even try lying.Where did you get the money?" Mevkhibe asks in stride.

When she and Nihat saw Sanem and the others arrive, they decided it was better to question her before it got too busy.

Sanem checks behind her and sees Can watching them, before hurrying away with them. "Mom, dad," she huffs and stops when it's far enough away that no one would hear. "Ayhan told you, I got an advance."

"Don't try and fool me," Mevkhibe wags her finger with a grin, dropping it within seconds. "What company would give a new employee so much money?"

"My sunflower," Nihat adds, "you can tell us anything, you know that."

Sanem looks at the store, thinking of how she was going to explain. "I don't know why they agreed," she lifts her shoulders, "maybe it's because Leyla's been working there for so long?"

"Sanem, you're making me angry, now. Don't. They would never give you money just because your sister is a good employee. They don't know if you're the same."

"Mom - "

"Your mother is right, and I agree with her. Not to say that you're not as good as your sister, but giving you money based on your sister's track record?"

"Why are you being like this? I just wanted to help." Sanem looks between them. "Dad put so much into the store and when I found out it might be sold, I got scared. All I wanted to do is see if I could do something. And I did."

"We understand honey," Nihat nods, "you thought well trying, but you should have talked to me first. If not me, then your mother."

"I'm sorry," Sanem looks down. "But it's done now. I - "

"Sanem!" Sanem swallows the starting tears and looks up at Can turned halfway in his chair.
"Sanem, can you come and check that the lighting is to your satisfaction please? It's your job after all!"

Can had noticed something heated between the family members and it was seemingly upsetting Sanem. Had he known he wouldn't have pushed her.

Sanem picks up on what he's trying to do and jumps at the chance, turning to her parents. "Because you pulled me aside I'm behind in my work...Listen, mom, please, this isn't that big of an issue, really. Don't get this upset over it, I was just trying to help."

"If you say so," Mevkhibe narrows her eyes. "It's not like I almost had a heart attack or anything."

"Sanem!"

Nihat looks at Can as Mevkhibe and Sanem stare at one another - one trying get the truth, and one trying to avoid it. "I wasn't expecting that from Mr Can. What is he yelling at you for?"

"Bosses do that daddy, it's just what they're like when it comes to work. I have to get back or it'll get worse." She shrugs and turns away from them, breathing out a deep sigh of relief.

Mevkhibe and Nihat watch the two of them for a moment.

"Look at this girl," Nihat mutters, "so sweet..." Mevkhibe rolls her eyes but doesn't comment, instead pulling him along to the store.

Sanem sits down next to Can, who turns his chair to face the screens. She smiles at him and he grins back. Happy to help Miss Sanem.

"It's gorgeous. We have to use it. And the second floor? Can we go up?" Deren looks up at the building.

"Yes Miss Deren. Want me to add more flowers?"

"Hm. Yes. Just a few."

There is a whistle from the left side as Deren nods in satisfaction.

"Would you look at her."
