Emre runs his fingers through his hair anxiously, pacing the back patio of Aylin's house from one side to the other. What's she telling him now? I warned her. I told her to leave Can alone. This is a disaster.

Aylin comes out with two glasses of water. "Are they really a couple?" she asks, her nose wrinkling in disgust at the thought. "Are you sure? I mean, are they together together or just - "

"They were all over each other Aylin!" Emre snaps, his hands fisting in frustration. "What's so hard to understand?! Why do you keep asking me that?!" He shakes his head and drags his hands down his face, "I'm done," he mumbles and starts pacing again.

"Okay, Emre, calm down," Aylin frowns and watches him worriedly for a moment. "It's not so bad. We'll just have to come up with a plan and put it in motion sooner."

"It may be too late for that. She could be telling my brother everything as we speak." He turns to her, coming back. "From her spying for me, to me handing you contracts behind his back."

"Emre, please," Aylin begs, feeling uncomfortable, "sit down and we can talk about this." She stands and goes to take his hand, leading him to a chair.

Emre sits down in a daze, blankly staring ahead at nothing. I'm done... She won't keep it to herself much longer...

Looking him over, Aylin kneels beside him and takes a deep breath, putting her hand on his arm, "Sanem won't tell him anything - "

Emre snorts and shakes his head.

"No, listen. She'll be cutting her own throat if she does, and she knows it. In order for her to actually tell Can, she needs to be confident in their relationship. Right now, she's still too scared. She's going to want to make sure that it won't end because of what she did first, but as we all know, that's not possible with Can. No matter how much he cares, he won't tolerate lying."

"You haven't seen - "

"We have to destroy Sanem." Aylin goes on, ignoring Emre interrupting her. "You have to get her to lie again, make certain that she can't confess a thing to him. Pull her down to the bottom of the pit so she can't open her mouth to even breathe. We have no other way out of this."

Emre closes his eyes and then opens them, finally looking at her. "How do we that?"

"How?" Aylin frowns, chewing on her lip. Emre nods and she looks around the backyard for a moment, then up at a star shining in the far distance - it reminded her of a diamond and that gave her an idea. "What did you do with the ring?" she asks, turning her gaze back to Emre.

"What did I do with what ring?"

"The ring you bought for me and gave to Sanem to pretend she was engaged. That ring." She knows she put it back in his room after their fight, so he must still have it.

"I gave it to you. What does that have to do with anything?"

"And I gave it back, I put it in your bedside drawer. Didn't you see it?"

"When? Why didn't you tell me? And what did you do to get the money for the debt? I told you to sell it!"

"Well, I still have the debts, and I'm taking care of it. Bit by bit. But...I couldn't sell the ring, Emre. I was too proud to."

He looks away, clenching his jaw.

"I can't believe it," she stares at him.
"You had the gall to tell me to sell the ring you were going to propose to me with and you're mad at me for not being able to?" She scoffs and stands. "Incredible."

Emre leans his head back, letting out a silent groan as she walks into the house. Damn it.
He gets up and follows her into the kitchen, where her water is being replaced by vodka. "Hey," he touches her arm and she turns, glaring at him. "I'm sorry. I know I put a lot of pressure on you. It wasn't fair of me to say that." She shrugs, pouting. "Don't worry, we'll take care of your debt okay?" He takes her face gently and kisses her deeply.
