Muzaffer and Ayhan touch their wine glasses together and she looks at him over hers. They were forced to go to an actual restaurant instead of just passing through when they noticed JJ following them.

"What's he doing now?" she asks quietly, taking a sip. "Is he looking?"

"Yes," Muzaffer whispers back.

JJ is sitting a couple of tables away, peeking over a menu.

"Oh my poor friend, he's so curious... He has the menu up like this looking at us. He thinks we can't see him." Ayhan looks down at the napkin in her lap, feeling bad for doing this to JJ. "Even if he wasn't, his moustache is very recognizable, it looks like he's chewing the menu."

"Has he even tried looking away?" Ayhan asks, afraid to look herself. She didn't want to make it obvious.

"No," Muzaffer checks. "Still there."

"Oh, Muzo!" She says loudly, and laughs, sliding her eyes towards JJ.

He catches on fast and laughs too. "You're evil," he says quietly then laughs again.

"Excuse me, have you decided sir?"

"Eh, no...I don't know what I want. When I do, I'll lift my hand like this," JJ lifts his hand and the waiter retreats.

"The waiter asked him what he wants," Muzaffer whispers.

"I heard." Ayhan chews on her steak.

"If he doesn't order soon he's going to be kicked out." He looks at their table. "Would you look at this? This layout says 'for a couple'...I mean flowers, wine, steak and vegetables and - Listen, we're pretending to be lovers, right? Why are we going to pay 500 liras for pretending? I think you should pay, it was you idea."

Ayhan rolls her eyes and glares at him. "Muzo, enough already. Good Lord," she groans. He frowns. This wasn't the first time he brought it up. When they sat and ordered he voiced the same issue and she shot him down then too. Ayhan clears her throat and smiles at him. "Muzo, my love, why are you so far from me? Come and sit closer, my little chocolate."

"Chocolate? Did you call me a chocolate? This is getting out of hand. I can't sit close to you." She stops smiling and sighs. "We're friends Ayhan, I won't do it. Sorry, hand holding sure, but you're staying there and I'm staying here." He lifts his hands and shakes his head.

"I'm trying to make this look real. Help me out a little bit Muzo, come on. Get over here."

"Fine, fine," he whispers back. "Hold on." He hops the chair over and she starts laughing boisterously, lifting hers like a normal person to meet him in the middle.

They're now with their backs to JJ, who lowers the menu to flatout stare at her putting her head on his shoulder, her arm around him.

"You're overdoing it Ayhan. I feel very uncomfortable right now. All my hair is standing on end. I'm freaking out."

"Shut up Muzo, shhh!" she hisses and he winces. "See if he's looking." He peeks over his shoulder as she pulls his arm around her neck. He takes too long to return and she yanks his head round.

"He's looking."

"Yeah?" They were hunched forward over the table and she glances under their arms. JJ was indeed still looking. "Why can't he just leave? Why is he just looking over here like that? What's he doing now?"

"How should I know?"

"Check."

"Ayhan, this is really stupid."

"Check!" she pinches his inner arm and he looks.

"Him and his moustache are still doing the same thing." He was starting to get irritated.
