Sanem sits quietly next to Can in his car as he drives down the highway. She peeks over at him under her lashes, her hands nervously running up and down her thighs while his fingers drummed on the wheel, his eyes on the road.

Thinking that he wasn't paying attention, she looks at him fully but as soon as she does he looks at her too and both turn away from each other just as fast.

They spent most of the ride this way - sneaking peeks when one thinks the other isn't aware.

After yet another look that gets caught, Can groans and lifts his hand against the sun shining into the car. Damn that's bright, he winces, squinting at the dashboard, glancing at the glove case at her knees.
"Do you mind checking in there for my sun - Never mind, hold on." Can shifts in his seat and reaches across, his eyes flitting between the road and the glovebox.

Sanem stays still, his elbow grazing her clasped hands. He's very close... holy hell... She stares at the side of his face in a daze, her jaw clenched tightly as he fiddles around inside until she decides enough was enougj. "Let me get it for you."

"It's okay, I've got it," he says and pulls out the glasses successfully.

Sanem finds herself drawn to him as he moves to his own seat, his neck passing inches away. How can a neck look so good? She closes her eyes and turns away her face while he slides the glasses on unfazed. This is so not fair...it's hot in here... Rolling her eyes, she waves her hand trying to cool down the heat suddenly coursing through her entire body.

"What's wrong?" Can asks, lifting a brow and glancing at her curiously.

"It's very hot, isn't it?" Sanem says. "Today I mean, it's hot. Aren't you hot?"

I don't know Sanem, am I? Can hums and nods. "Weird, the air conditioning is on?" He eyes the button as she fans herself and breathes unevenly.

"Air conditioning, wow, yes, I feel it now." She rubs her arms and frowns out her window.

"I'll turn it off if it's too cold," he offers seeing her do this.

"No! No, no, don't turn it off...Keep it on, I'll just open the window." She presses the button and resists the urge to stick her head out.

Okay? She knows those two cancel each other out right?

"Maybe we should turn on the radio, so we don't sit in silence the whole time," Sanem suggests and jabs a finger on the panel between them and the radio starts searching.

"Is this you trying to prove to me that you can be normal?"

Sanem rolls the volume knob so it drowns out his voice but she answers anyway. "Exactly."

"Well you - " Can winces against the rock music blaring through the speakers.

"Sorry I can't really hear you!" Sanem says jovially, pointing at her ears and shaking her head. She grins and looks ahead at the cars in front of them, turning the volume up even more.

"Sanem, what are you doing?" Can puts his hand on hers to stop it. "What are you doing?" She shakes his hand off and puts it back, pushing it away. "Sanem? Turn it down," Can complains as he reduces the volume. She starts skipping through songs five minutes later and he groans. "Please that's very annoying. Stop it." He grabs her hand and keeps it still. "Just leave it alone. I'll find the perfect song for you. You'll like it." He removes her hand and places it in her lap, patting it gently. Please just stop it.

Sanem holds her left hand in her right after pushing her hair out of her eyes. "Okay, well, anything is better than this," she huffs and grimaces, trying to skip the song that was now playing over and over. "I think I broke it."
