Sanem sat in her room smiling as she wrote down the previous day's happenings. She had had so much fun she hardly slept. Writing in her diary was her peaceful place. Her Zen Zone.
When her phone rings she picks it up and immediately her heartrate kicks up a notch. Taking a breath to calm herself down then answers.
"Good morning." Can greets her before she can say anything.
"Good morning."
"I wanted to ask you a very important question."
"I'm all ears."
"Do you like pancakes?"
"Oh my God," Sanem sits up more, grinning. She groans silently. He cooks, he's handsome, he's kind...Why can't I just live in his hair?! "Are you making them?"
"Yeah."
Be still my heart... "Okay," is all she gets out while her mouth feels this dry.
"Listen, I'm at the gym right now, I'm going to take a quick shower. I'll come by and see you later?"
"No!"
"What now?"
"Nothing, I was just...Maybe it'll be better if you didn't come here for a while." Sanem looks at her door.
"Ah," Can's quiet for a moment. "Alright, come to my place then?"
Sanem smiles. "Okay. I'll be over soon."
"Hurry. Bye bye."
"Bye bye." Grinning, she hangs up and then stares at her closet. "What am I going to wear?" she blinks then shoves the blanket off her.
-
An hour later, Sanem is sitting next to Can outside eating the most delicious pancakes she's ever had. And that was saying something with her mother being the best cook in two counties according to her. She hadn't even made it all the way to the kitchen before Can started questioning her about why he couldn't go to her house anymore. She explains what happened yesterday and he looks at her for a long while as he processed and she ate.
"So," Sanem looks up when he breaks the silence, "let me see if I have this... According to your parents," he looks at her and she nods that she's listening, "I'm a womanizer who spends my time with models and I eat raw meat?" He frowns.
"Exactly," Sanem swallows and smiles sheepishly, chuckling before putting another piece of pancake in her mouth.
Can grins at her reaction. "And this is funny to you?"
"What do you want me to do? I don't know what to say?" she lifts her shoulders.
Can sighs and nods, leaning forward on the table. "So there's no way I can go and talk to either of them?"
"Yes." He lifts his shoulders. "I mean, yes, no you can't. I'll talk to them." As soon as Can was going to open his mouth he was going to ruin her ruse and she would be in trouble. "Please just give me some time to tell them and explain?"
Can looks away and groans. "Sanem, I - " He pauses and then shakes his head. "Do whatever you want. What else can I say?" he purses his lips. How much time does she damn well need?
"That I create problems for myself, right?" Sanem looks over at him shyly, batting her lashes and lifting her shoulders. My parents are upset, now you're upset...
He lifts a brow, eyeing her and then he smirks around his tea glass. "You do," he says and she giggles lightly, his eyes dancing with amusement.
"You make really delicious pancakes, by the way."
