Can pushes his front door open an hour later, kicking it shut behind him. He dropped Deren off and he wasn't looking forward to going home so he drove around a bit until he had no other choice but to come home. Being alone with his thoughts was an inevitable challenge - he needed to sort through his feelings at some point - and he never shied away from a challenge.
Sighing tiredly, he walks down the hallway past the kitchen to go outside. I need to sit next to a fire and drown my sorrows in more -
Can stops in the open backdoor, his heart skipping a few beats.Sanem was sitting on the grass with her back to him, dressed in a white off shoulder spaghetti dress with short lace sleeves.
He looks down at his own clothes - he was in a white button up and white pants - and back up. The eerie similarities to his dream that one time has him hesitating to go closer.
He tilts his head to the side slightly, wondering why she was there. If it was to tell him more of what he didn't want to know, she could just get up and leave right now. How'd she get in anyway? Probably walked through past the side of the house. I really need to put a gate there or something...Although, knowing her she'd most likely climb over the damn thing... He smiles at this thought then decides to walk out. He just said he didn't shy away from a challenge not five seconds ago. Plus he was curious to know why she came, despite himself.
Sanem stills her movements when he starts nearing her, the small white flower she held between her fingers lowering into her lap between the petals she had been pulling at while waiting and then she looks up at Can standing next to her.
He lifts a quizzical brow and then sits down, facing her. His left leg was inches from her right. He pulls up his right knee and links his fingers around it, looking at her. She smiles shyly and he looks at her lips then up again at her eyes before asking, "Have you been waiting a long?"
Sanem shakes her head. "Four hours."
Can starts to grin. Oh just four hours. No biggie. "Not that long then."
"No."
"Welcome."
"Thank you."
It gets quiet then, with just the pool's inbuilt waterfall making any kind of sound.
"Did you want to say something to me?" Can asks, looking away from the pool. He knew better than to be hopeful by now but he still found himself being exactly that. Why else would she wait around for four hours?
Sanem nods, smiling. "Yes."
Her answers surprises Can but he manages to hide it well. Alright, he nods for her to go on.
"Do you really want to know?"
Exactly like my dream...Can looks down at his hands and frowns. "You're not going to believe me, but I've seen this entire moment before in a dream." He didn't like the outcome of that dream, so he wasn't sure he wanted to hear what she had to say - especially if it was to be another rejection. He might just lose it. "So, I'm not so sure I do, if I'm honest."
Sanem looks him over silently then moves, placing her arms around his neck.
Can freezes, stunned by the action and his heart speeding up. Two beats pass before his hands creep up her back, unsure if it was to pull her closer or push her away. Exactly like my dream... He waits while all she does is hug him to her, her cheek warm against his. They had been in a similar position in his dream - where she didn't want to see at him. "Why won't you look at me?" he asks next to her ear, even though he knew her answer. Why am I such a martyr? I should get up and -
