The next morning, Can parks just around the corner of the Aydin's store, taking the resignation letter in hand and locking his car, before walking past the fresh produce and pausing outside the window to look in. It was 7:30 AM and Sanem was dressed in red pants and a black longsleeved poloneck tucked into it.

He had been thinking all night when he couldn't sleep and decided that he wasn't going to accept Sanem's resignation after all. He needed her at work, and she needed to be at work. She wasn't a shopgirl anymore, it was plain to see by her clothes. It was a win win situation if one thought about it logically. In his mind any way.

He grinned watching her, craning his neck to see over the name printed in the window.

She was packing chocolates into boxes on the shelf behind her and some fell down out of her hands and he could see her frustration as she bends down to pick them, shoving them roughly back into the box before opening one and taking a bite.

He nods to himself and decides that now was the time to go in.

-

Oh, this is so good...hmm...Sanem hums to herself as she takes another bite, all but scarfing down the chocolate. Leyla got her onto eating her feelings the night before and now she couldn't stop eating them.

"Ehem!"

Sanem freezes midchew, the chocolate still in her mouth. She takes it out slowly and turns her head, licking her lips. Can is looking at her expectantly and she turns back. Oh my God!! She puts the halfeaten chocolate down and gets a tissue from one of the boxes on the shelf next to her, wiping her mouth before she turns to him again, pushing her hair out of her face.
She smiles at him, discreetly digging her tongue into her teeth.

"Hello."

She looks at the piece of paper he held rolled up in his hands and blinks at it, pushing her hands into her back pockets. "What's that?"

Can unrolls it, flips it over and puts it face up on the counter in front of her. "Your resignation letter."

"Hm." She hums after looking at it fleetingly. "And why is it here?" she asks with a frown and looks up at him again.

"Uhm," Can clears his throat, "Sanem - " She nods in answer. "I'm sorry, but you can't resign."

"Oh really? And why not?"

"Why?" He blinks. "Well, because..." He puffs up his cheeks and looks at the register for a second. "Because you have a rather large debt to pay." Sanem narrows her eyes a little when he shrugs. "In order to do that, you have to work, obviously. How many times are we going to talk about this, honestly?" he sighs.

"You don't have to remind me that I owe you money all the time, Mr Can. I know I do."

He nods as if to say, 'exactly'.

"And I will pay it back," she promises and crosses her arms, giving him a defiant look, "but I'll pay it back by working here." You want your money, that's why you're here, right? Okay, I'll show you... "You know what, hold on a second," she ducks behind the register. "One second," she says, "I'll start paying you right now." She comes back up with a tin can, and turns it over, coins clattering onto the counter.

"Sanem are you serious? What is this?" He stops one rolling across towards him and then counts. "There isn't even one lira in coins here...And is this a penny?" He holds up the coin he stopped.

She squints at it. Maybe...?

Before she can comment, one of the older residents waddles in with a smile. "Good morning to you young Sanem. How are you?"
