I recall the days when we first connected,
On a campus Facebook group, our paths intersected.
A photo of Denyque, a mistaken identity,
Yet you messaged me, your words so tenderly.
Weeks passed with little chatter between us two,
But your words resonated, stirring something new.
Though I masqueraded with another's face,
You sought to know me, with genuine grace.
"What's your hostel? Your room number, pray tell?"
You inquired politely, the mystery to dispel.
I gave a friend's room, still hiding the truth,
But you came to visit, and fate took its route.
In September, the moment etched in my mind,
The first time I saw you, your allure undefined.
Tall and dark, captivating in every way,
Your eyes, your lips, left me breathless that day.
From head to toe, you devoured my being,
And in your eyes, a reflection of what I was seeing.
Words escaped you, 'Could you be single, my dear?'
My heart skipped a beat, as I felt you draw near.
October arrived, our friendship began to bloom,
Strolling through hallways, our hands finding room.
Moments shared, like lovebirds taking flight,
The sweetest of times, teenage hearts alight.
Then came the kiss, our lips finally meeting,
A tender exchange, a memory worth repeating.
I couldn't get enough, my heart was your own,
And yours, dear Brannie, forever mine had grown.
Though time has passed, and paths may now diverge,
I'll cherish our first love, that youthful surge.
For in my heart, you'll always have a place,
Brannie, my first love, a cherished embrace.
