Imprisoned within this mortal shell,
A spirit longing to break free from its cell.
This vessel of flesh, a cage so tight,
Confining the essence of my inner light.
Society's chains bind me tight,
Dictating beliefs that dim my inner sight.
Doubts and religion, complexities of life,
Strangle my dreams, cause endless strife.
Yearning for truth, I ask myself why,
Am I living a life that makes my soul cry?
Lost in the labyrinth of my own mind,
True desires obscured, hard to find.
Forced to conform, to play a role,
That doesn't reflect my authentic soul.
I yearn to break free, to spread my wings,
Like a caged bird, a heart that sings.
Oh, to discover my genuine path,
To escape the confines of society's wrath.
The invisible chains, a heavy weight,
Suppressing dreams, sealing my fate.
I crave self-discovery, a chance to be,
Unshackled, unburdened, finally free.
To soar and embrace my full potential,
To break these chains, no longer deferential.
In the depths of my being, a fire burns,
A desire to grow, to live and learn.
I'll find the strength to rise above,
To embrace myself, to dare to live.
And as I peel off society's mask,
I'll step into the light, unasked.
A journey of truth, authenticity's call,
No longer trapped, I'll stand tall.
