Mama, this is not farewell, but rather a pause
An anticipation of what lies ahead, with no cause
You've always said you'd go before me, it's true
Leaving this world knowing we're stronger, thanks to you
I am grateful beyond words for the life you've given
Nine months in your womb, where I safely had thriven
From a little girl, you nurtured and guided me
Into the woman I am today, strong and free
Through hardships and more, you never lost your stride
Working tirelessly, your love never denied
You provided the best, in all that you could do
And look at me now, Mama, thanks to you
You taught me love, care, and how to be kind
Respect, joy, and happiness, all intertwined
You showed me the way through life's cruel demands
You were the cure, whenever I needed healing hands
Mama, you've been everything that's been great
In my life, you've played the most important part,
So, even when the day comes to bid farewell
I won't say goodbye, for in my heart, you'll always dwell
I may feel broken without you by my side
But your love will forever in my heart reside
For you are the foundation, the light that guides
And in memories and love, our bond forever abides
So, Mama, this is not goodbye, but a promise I make
To carry your love with me, no matter what road I take
Though tears may fall, and my heart may cry
In my heart, you'll live on, so I won't say goodbye
