Heart Dear, I can't bear the silence, it's true,
Thought I'd feel no remorse, like you often do.
Yet, my betrayal runs deep, a burden I carry,
Falling for another, in this secret, shared story.
I can't continue this charade, it's wearing thin,
With him, I've found happiness, a spark from within.
Just as I once did with you, in days gone by,
Yet, I fear it won't last, it's a fragile tie.
Do you ever feel it, this ache and this yearn?
Shall we keep up the dance, let the silence return?
Or should we part ways, seek new love in the night,
Then meet as strangers, seeking a fresh, hopeful light?
Become familiar faces, hearts unburdened and light,
To find love anew, as if it were our very first sight?
Tell me, my dear, the course we should chart,
Rekindle our flame, mend each fractured part?
Or explore separate paths, let new love take its claim,
Become familiar strangers, in pursuit of the same?
Tell me, my heart, in this tangled decree,
Should I seek solace elsewhere, to set my soul free?
To get back at you, for we're tangled and frayed,
Shall we keep this quiet dance, forever, unswayed?
