In days of old, so close were we,
Emotions real, your mind on me.
But now you're here, yet somehow gone,
Emotional bridge, once strong, withdrawn.
No sheets between, but chasm wide,
You've drifted far, my heart's divide.
Distance immense, emotions wane,
My pleas unheard, like falling rain.
Once warm and bright, your heart now cold,
A love once cherished, now untold.
Can we mend what's now astray?
Or is this where we lose our way?
Betrayed and hurt, I stand alone,
Cheated feelings, love overthrown.
This pain, this ache, it cuts too deep,
Promises shattered, forever asleep.
