Today, I honour a remarkable woman,
One who's faced the darkest days and sleepless nights.
A fighter, battling both unseen and ignored wars.
I am privileged to celebrate this woman—me.
In this life, I've confronted hardships galore,
Mourning lost possibilities once held within my reach,
Grieving days that slipped away while I drowned in emotional turmoil,
Times when I couldn't fathom the depths of my own being.
I celebrate my resilience, conquering life's chokehold,
Emerging victorious when it seemed I had lost everything,
Defying despair, rebuilding the fortress of hope,
Rediscovering belief in tomorrow and the wonders it may bring.
Grateful for the strength I found within myself,
Aware of my worth, both to myself and true friends,
Content in knowing when to set boundaries,
And discerning who to trust when life takes a perilous turn—only me.
I rejoice in the promise of the tomorrows I may witness,
I celebrate the dreams that now dance within my grasp,
Delighting in the fantasies that forever reside within me.
Today, I honour the dreamer, the realist, and the creator—
For in celebrating myself, I embrace the essence of who I am.
