Bound No More

"You're crazy!" you say to me,
Hoping I won't discover the truth,
But I see through your deceitful veil,
And it's the reason you label me as mad.

Late-night calls turned into shifts at work,
I can sense the hidden agenda behind them,
Your lies unraveling before my eyes,
And you underestimate my perception.

Work trips every weekend,
Extending into public holidays,
Your excuses fall flat,
Yet you treat me like a fool.

You've transformed, no longer attentive,
And the guilt you bear remains concealed,
You can't confront the truth,
So you deflect and belittle my suspicions.

Why not spare me the heartache,
Grant me a respite from your betrayals,
Indulge in your infidelity without remorse,
Because I'm breaking free from your grasp.

I refuse to be held captive by your deceit,
To endure the pain of your unfaithful ways,
I'm reclaiming my worth and my dignity,
Leaving behind the falsehoods and the pain.

No longer will I be confined by your lies,
I'm stepping into the light, away from your darkness,
You may call me crazy, but I know the truth,
And it's empowering me to walk away, to find my peace.
