A Villager's Desire

Take me home, away from this hectic city,
Where I can breathe freely, where air is pure and gritty.
No more the fumes of petrol, choking my lungs,
Nor the stench of sewage, where filth festers and clings.

This city is dirty, a concrete jungle of despair,
Where people swarm like ants, in every corner and square.
Take me home, where tranquillity reigns supreme,
Where the noise of honking cars is nothing but a dream.

In the silence of my village, crickets serenade the night,
Their melodious chorus, a symphony of delight.
Fireflies twinkle and dance in the moon's gentle glow,
As stars shine brighter than city lights, putting on a show.

The cacophony of aeroplanes and factories at work,
Replaced by nature's whispers, soothing and inert.
No more the constant hustle and bustle, tearing my mind,
In my village, my thoughts can roam, unconfined.

The water flows crystal clear, a pristine stream,
Untainted by pollution, a pure and gleaming beam.
And the food that graces my table, organic and true,
Nourishes my body, without emptying pockets undue.

In my village, my neighbours are not just faces in the crowd,
They're friends, like family, together we're endowed.
A community of love and support, genuine and strong,
In this place I call home, where I truly belong.

Take me home, where everything is nice,
Where life is better, free from the city's vice.
Where the air is clean, the noise is hushed,
And love fills the air, unabashedly lush.

Oh, take me home, to my humble abode,
Where serenity dwells, where dreams can unfold.
For in the embrace of my village, I find solace and peace,
A sanctuary of joy, where my heart finds release.
