LOST IN TIME FOUND IN LOVE

"TALAGA lang, ha?" sunod niyang sabi sa 'kin nang nakapamewang pa rin.

A lighthearted expression played across my face as I couldn't help but stare at her. "Disappointed ka ba?"

"Are you kidding? I don't even have a soft spot for you!" she fired back clearly annoyed and displeased by my words. "Ang pangit siguro ng standards mo sa mga babae, ano?"

She flipped out, obviously pissed off and irritated, and I immediately stepped back when her four bodyguards sprinted towards her. Naririnig mula rito ang boses niya habang kausap sila, siya na itong tumakas tapos siya pa iyong galit.

Sure, she's got both looks and a crazy personality that's impossible not to like - she's just too perfect for words, totally in a completely different league than me, but I don't think I'll ever find myself liking her too much, do I?

"Excuse me po, ma'am."

Tumingin ako sa server ng coffee shop na tambayan ko ngayong araw. I said I'd meet up with Eliza here to have a chat about our plan to work at Cambridge SciTell Discoveries. She mentioned wanting to discuss something about it, and I wanted to let her know to be patient because I'm almost ready to ask Cash about it.

"Yes?"

The server handed me a napkin to use at the table. Hindi ko na sana tatanggapin dahil may extra naman ako pero nagsalita ulit ito para ipaliwanag kung para saan iyon.

"Ang sabi po ng customer sa table 6..." Bumaling siya sa tinutukoy na table na sinundan ko naman pero wala namang tao roon. "Basta pinapamigay po niya 'yan."

After receiving the napkin from the server, I was in utter disbelief when I noticed a highly detailed sketch of my face on it.

"T-thank you," I said and took another glance at the sketch, which was drawn using a regular pen. It was surprisingly good, but it gave me a creepy feeling because of the note.

Sino'ng nagbigay nito?

"Pwede mo bang ilarawan sa 'kin ang mukha ng nagbigay nito?" pakiusap ko sa server na nag-abot sa 'kin ng sketch. Sinadya ko pa talagang humingi ng tubig para lumapit ulit siya sa 'kin.

She seemed a bit lost, but she was putting in effort to recall it. "Hindi ko na po matandaan iyong hitsura niya kasi 'di ko naman po nakita nang buo. Basta po nakaitim na shades at bucket hat po siya."

"Her hair, how about it?"

"Pixie cut po ang haircut niya, may nunal po siya sa tungki ng kanyang ilong, malamyos ang boses niya at..." Pilit nitong pinipiga ang isip. "Wala na po akong maalala."

I was thinking about checking the CCTV, but man, it was a lot of work. So, I came up with this sneaky plan where I acted like I lost my wallet. All I wanted was an excuse to lodge a complaint and get a chance to review the CCTV footage. And guess what? Turns out my instincts were right all along.

It's Amora Zamora.

"Kadarating ko lang, aalis na tayo ulit?" salubong ni Eliza sa akin. Siya muna pinagbayad ko sa in-order ko dahil nagpanggap nga akong nawalan ng wallet.

I pulled her into the car, and I kept going back and forth in my head, wondering if I should spill the beans about Amora Zamora. But damn, that also means exposing everything about Cash and all the rest.
