MY WHOLE EXISTENCE shattered seeing her walked away from me. It hit me like a brutal dose of reality. People see me as a genius who knows it all, but I do have weaknesses too and she is my greatest vulnerability. Being with her makes me let loose, act silly and stupid. Tonight, I poured my heart out to her, speaking my bittersweet truth with every word. I can't give up everything for this love. Alas, this might not be the moment meant for us.

The problem lies with me, not her. Every now and then, fear grips me, loving isn't my expertise. After losing so much, I've decided to stop pursuing the seemingly impossible mission of bringing my dad back alive, acknowledging the change in my perception of death. Right now, my only certainty is that I don't want her life to be at risk because I chose to stay. She's always had a shadow of danger or death trailing her, and it just hit me that I'm the biggest threat that needs to keep a distance to save her.

"Ma'am Saint!" Hindi ko na mabilang pang-ilang beses na niya itong binigkas para lamang bumalik ako sa wisyo.

"Pakisabi sa kanila na umuwi na silang lahat. M-maayos na ako, hindi ko na kailangan pang pumunta ng ospital," atas ko sa aking tauhan. "Hindi ako aalis, mananalitili ako rito."

Naalarma ang lahat dahil sa nangyari kaya isa sa kanila ay nakapagtawag ng pulis na 'di naman kailangan. Pinalabas kong aksidente ang lahat dahil ayokong lumabas ang isyung ito sa balita gayundin ang katotohanang isang laboratoryo ang nasunog ngunit hindi ibig sabihin no'n na 'di ko na tutugisin si Don Quomando. Ipinapangako kong pagbabayaran niya lahat ng pinsalang kanyang ginawa at 'di na siya makakatapak pa sa teritoryong ito.

I spoke to one of my long-standing bodyguards who's been around. "W-where is she?"

"Si Ma'am Cash po ba? Kanina pa po umalis ng Lawxuria."

She's no longer here, and now my journey starts without her.

Walang lakas akong tumayo. I was beyond exhausted and emotionally shattered, like I couldn't go on much longer... that's how I feel right now.

"Ma'am? Saan po kayo pupunta?" habol sa 'kin ng mga kasama ko.

Like a zombie, I ambled towards the gate, torn between the instinct to run after her and the harsh reality that I had to restrain myself, leaving me feeling even more drained.

Nagawa ko nang kumalma nang marahan kanina, pero bumalik lang ulit sa 'kin ang sakit, para akong dinudurog.

Peering into the shadows of twilight, I hoped to keep my eyes from stinging again, but tears broke free, trickling down my face as I blinked.

"C-cash..." The freezing wind carried my soft words as tears flowed down my face, moments before I blacked out and fell to the ground.

"No," sagot ko sa tinig na 'yon kahit na alam kong narito na siya sa loob ng aking bahay. Nasa couch lamang ako, nakahiga na may katabing mga bote ng alak na wala ng laman.
