SABRINA'S POV:

I felt them run behind me at first and then beside me. Their protective aura emanating from them like armored rays of sunshine, wrapping around me like blankets of love.

My mind raced and I knew things, deep, inner secrets hidden from common folk, normal humans, non mythical creatures... I could see the past and see beyond the scope of anything I'd ever dreamed of. Jamal even tried to keep up.

I knew regular wolves mated for life and that's what we would do. They'd never hurt me or leave me or treat me like I was lesser than them ever again.

I could feel their heartbeats and hear their thoughts, so full of remorse and pain for how they treated me. How they longed for my forgiveness. How truly jealous they all were of each other, especially now.

They'd never need to be. I'd make sure that they were loved equally, honored, cherished, protected and taken care of until we took our last breaths.

We ran for most of the night and into dawn. I found myself accidentally shifting back into my human body and collapsing into Xander's arms.

"Hey, you... " He smiled at me as he carried me to his treehouse.

"We're all naked," I giggled.

Quinn chuckled, "I love those first time pheromones."

"You got any clothes up here?" Seb asked, snooping around.

Xander frowned, "Do I look like a man who keeps clothes in my childhood tree house?"

I laughed, but he did find a blanket to wrap me up in.

"I can't sit on this," Hudson pointed to the wooden benches, "Gonna get a splinter up my ass."

Q shook his head, "We'll shift back soon. I'm hungry and I'm sure everyone wants to see you in your wolf form, Sabrina."

I beamed, "I'll be ready again soon," I placed my head in my hands and that's all I remember before drifting into slumber.

AUTHOR'S—THIRD PERSON POV:

"She's asleep," Seb laughed, "I swear this girl can sleep anywhere."

Xander nodded, "I'm surprised she wanted to run when she did, to be honest. Probably wore her out."

Hudson leaned up against the far wall and crossed his arms over his chest.

"How long before you think we have to go?"

"Honestly, Hawk might be head of the military, but he has to go through her," Quinn reminded them, "I'm sure she'd rather not make that choice. "

"She'll fight with us," Sebastian said, "I've not one doubt that she won't stay behind."

Xander growled.

"I don't want her fighting," He mumbled.

Q grinned, "Try telling your queen what to do. Good luck with that."

"She has the cutest little snores," Xander said, cradling Sabrina into him.

"How the hell would you know?" Hudson said, "Don't you nut and run with every chick you get with?"

Xander sneered, "Why don't you just come out and tell me what you really want to tell me, Hudson?"

Hudson shifted his weight and glared at his brother.

"I am not going to sit around and watch you hurt her," Hudson replied, "I know how you are."

"Here we fucking go," Seb mumbled as Q shook his head.
