The hedgehog carefully examined the set of Chaos Emeralds before him. In a flash, he recalled the memory of Sonic using the emeralds to gain incredible power, defeating Gemerl and emerging victorious. Feeling a sense of familiarity, he looked at Dijon, his companion, and voiced his thoughts, "I'll be using the same method as Sonic, but will it work for me?"
Dijon, intrigued by the unique nature of these emeralds, replied, scratching his muzzle, "These Chaos Emeralds are different from the others. The major distinction lies in their one-time use. If you activate your Super State, all of the emeralds will crack."
Curiosity piqued, the hedgehog questioned their origin, "Where did these emeralds come from? It's strange that they deviate from the standard Chaos Emeralds."
Aeon, who had created these emeralds, responded, "I am the one who made them. Their purpose is to mimic the source of chaos energy. I believe they can only be used by those who have already experienced harnessing that power. However, it seems you haven't been able to tap into that power, Dijon."
Confusion clouded Dijon's expression as he contemplated his next move, "So, should I still attempt to use them? I've never had the chance to harness their power before."
Aeon, with a determined look, replied, "That's why we'll take the risk. Stay still." His intense gaze made Dijon feel a bit uneasy, unsure of what Aeon had planned.
Reluctantly, Dijon lowered his guard, placing some trust in Aeon. It was clear that Aeon had a plan, but what exactly was he going to do?
Suddenly, Aeon chanted, "TEN..KAI..!" He tapped into an unknown power, similar to his own, causing Dijon's soul to separate from his physical body. Now a floating soul, Dijon's body lay motionless on the ground, filling him with fear. He stared at Aeon, his voice filled with distress, "What have you done to me? You've turned me into a weak ghost!"
Aeon calmly explained, "You're in the same state as when you destroyed that watch, rendering your powers unusable. However, the watch used its last bit of energy to restore you to your regular hedgehog form. Now, using a specialized technique employed by Balancers, I will extract the negative spirit from within you. It's called Tenkai, a technique that uses our energy to draw out the soul when it is invaded by a bad spirit." Aeon maintained a smile as he spoke.
Frustrated, Dijon protested, "But I'm not one of the bad spirits you mentioned!"
Apologizing, Aeon justified his actions, "I'm sorry I had to do this, Dijon, but it's necessary for your path to recovery. Witness... SEIKIDO BINDING: VOX-PRISM!" Aeon's hand emitted a white energy that expanded and enveloped Dijon's floating soul. It transformed into a prism-like structure, trapping him within a transparent wall. Dijon tried banging on the walls but to no avail. However, he noticed that the mysterious pouch he had been carrying remained with him, providing a glimmer of hope.
Realizing that this was his only chance, Dijon steeled himself and began harnessing the energy within him, determined to go Super. Energy waves exploded from his body as the power of the Chaos Emeralds surged through him. Gradually, his fur started to emit a golden glow. Aeon observed him with a concerned expression, sensing that something might go wrong. And indeed, as Dijon was on the brink of transforming into his Super Form, the transformation was abruptly cut short. His fur turned jet black, and his skin became pale white. Overwhelmed by pain, he let out a scream of agony, "GAAAAAAAAAAH...! I CAN'T... HANDLE THIS!"
Aeon encouraged him, shouting, "Believe in yourself, just... imagine the feel of your mind!"
Whispering the words to himself, Dijon chanted, "Believe..." His hedgehog soul closed its eyes as if entering a deep conversation with itself.
