[ANOTHER WORLD-ARC] Chapter 23: A Race.

Sonic and Tails walked. It seemed that the city was still filled with ashes and flames. The whole city had no people, and both of them looked shocked.

''So, it's unfortunate... Why did we even end up in a strange place like this..?'' Tails looked worried, it seemed he was clueless as others.

Sonic then stopped and tapped. ''Blame that doctor. This is probably the wildest heck of a week! talk about being surrounded by the most dangers.''

Then two of them, seemed like they a found a shelter. that place looked like it had no budget. Then two of them started to approach it.

''Heyy! is anybody out there..?!'' Blue one, raised top on his lungs.

Then the locals came out, they looked like they had been having a tough experience.

''Survivors..?'' A Mild bear Man came off, it looked like a human.

Tails waved it. ''Yeah. And from then we are trying to find our way back home.''

Then a blonde-haired guy came out, it had the appearance of a teen like a teen spoke. ''Home..? as if it. Half of the Emerald town's been destroyed, and now we're in this city that is full of killer bots. Wierd..!''

''Guess... you were all of the residents living there, Man.'' Sonic crossed his arms while he was saying.

Beard Man spoke. ''I feel you that you two had a hard time being in this city, well... you better be in our shelter.''

''A Shelter..? that's good to have, me and Sonic will take a short break for it.''

So they went inside the shelter. The whole place was filled with people, it wasn't crowded so it was good for them.

Sonic took his seat on a plastic chair and relaxed. ''So,  how long have you been stuck there, I've been struggling here for hours now.''

That teen brushed off. ''A Day. Not sure if  there's a will of finding a greater home.''

As Sonic heard off, he'd looked at him. ''Don't come up like that. There's hope.. right..? no matter what it gets.''

''Guess... you can say something like that.'' He took a sigh.

A Beard guy comes to the chatter. ''Pretty much.  An Egg sized man told us even. Strange that we got such a hopeless message, and in fact, it was pre-recorded from a monitor.''

''Egg..? wait... you meant Dr.Eggman..? Man. So he set up the whole thing..! just for that. Now it's better to get out of there, and stop his schemes yet again.''

Tails stood to the Sonic's dialogue. ''Sonic... there's no time to settle it now, we gotta take ourselves for a rest.''

''Buddy... I know that. But I can't just let it go like that. I don't want for people to suffer this, They are just innocent.''

Blonde looked at him. ''That Eggo  told us, we are been forced to play his stupid game, and.. by means, everyone will need to.''

''A Game..? Wow... How far he has come..? to just been forced to suffer of that.'' Sonic coldly stared at the exit door.

Tails shrugged. ''That's the Eggman we know.  but are you sure that you're certain about your decision...?''

''Well... Pretty much. But for the most part...  It's a bad move if you just sleep in the middle of a game!"' Sonic chuckled.

''Uhh...''' Tails nodded slowly.

''Hey, Mr.Beards... I'm pretty sure that this city has any landmarks..?''  He approached him, while Tails looked with a worried face.
