[ANOTHER-WORLD ARC] Chapter 30: Familiar.

Three of them walked along the shore, it seemed they were on Sunset Hill's beach area, Amy had a similar vibe once she had in the Emerald town.

''I'm a bit bothered, guys,'' Amy said, it seemed she was worried.

Knuckles made a shrug. ''Really..? what now..? I don't think there's much trouble in there, besides... I don't see any Badnik lurking around there.''

She then made a statement. ''It's nothing like that. A Whole place feels familiar, yet it's a different place, the whole beach reminded me of the so-called Emerald beach, we'd been visiting, remember..?''

''If you say it like that, it started to make me feel curious, maybe it just happens to be a different beach, altogether..?''

''It's not a familiar vibe, but.. could it be.. that this world is similar to the world we lived in..? Could it be..?''

Dijon looked back at her, it seemed he was cautious about the words, and why the world they were trapped in, can give them that familiar place as if they hadn't left their homes in the first place.

''It can't be just part of your hometown being turned into the eternal sunset, it just can't be.'' Knuckles claimed his theory.

''Ah, whatever.. we can't just think of this, all day... we must focus on our main objective, which is to look for our friends, then we will decide.'' She waved her hair, as it was clear that it was their current plan.

But not even a minute later, Dijon sighted a figure. ''' Actually... I do think that we aren't alone on this beach.''

''Wait.. really..?'' Knuckles looked in the front, it seemed there was a lone figure sitting on the shore, it was a familiar entity.

She gasped. ''I recognize that.. being.. it's... Cyrus..?!''

Cyrus turned. ''Hm, it's been quite a while, younglings.''

Dijon stepped in. ''What are you doing here.''

He stood up and turned his face to the others. ''Well... isn't this clear, it seems another adventure was ahead of you, but from what I can see it will get crazier.''

''So, what are you doing here anyway? I never expected you to be on the beach.

''Let's say... My friend hated me, so I took off and decided to calm my thoughts, besides... you may know him already.''

''I don't even have a slight idea of what you try to describe, I bet it's a Deminin, just like you.'' He stated his answer.

''it's Lark, the one who tried to destroy your town, and now he is planning to get the Chaos emeralds, for his own sake... and he won't be this merciful as before, he literally hates you now.''

''Oh, him. I merely forgot that I'd supposed to end him, by what I do usually to the Deminins.''

Cyrus just made a sigh. ''Don't get way ahead, it's still a necessity to show mercy, even to us, even if our actions are bad, we still have empathy, you see.. Lark's Deminin group is only the smallest thing you heard about us, we really hold secrets.. we can be good, and bad.. but we are only seen as bad spirits, by the ones who want to be a hero, and saviors.. talk about cliche.''

Amy carefully walked in. ''You're right, we usually do some heroic actions, but never thought deep down, that there could be good, in the bad organizations like you, Deminins.''

Echidna would cross his both hands. ''A lot's happened, I'm not surprised that two of you, know a guy like him, what even happened between those months, it's unbelievable.''

''Hm, you probably feel like how I encountered one of those shenanigans when I was inexperienced back then.'' Dijon turned on Knuckles.

Cyrus walked close to him. ''Speak of your experience, have your power grown strong..? but I'm guessing not by much.''

''It's difficult to explain, but... it doesn't seem like I've learned any techniques, guess I'm fine if my powers were like this, is this all that I can achieve, is this really my limit..?''

''I doubt it. Your power that you linger, it's much different from those two folks that we are within, just live it and you'll see it by yourself.''

He checked the gadget, he was wearing. ''You're right, what even could it be, but this power still needs to resonate with me, a bit longer.''

Cultrus then pulled off a fire trick out of his hand. ''Whatever you say, you're an interesting opponent to fight against, maybe our rematch will be different this time.''

''A Rematch..?'' He looked confused.

Just as Dijon tried to get his real reason, Cyrus disappeared.

''That was a heck of a show.'' Knuckles gave his reaction.

''Can't I just.. get a normal life..?'' Dijon looked down.

''No worries, you have us..!'' Amy reached for him and tried to make him look comfortable.

''Right, let's just.. take a rest, a new day will await us.'' He smiled.

''Well, you're right... I feel so tired, so we should head back to the house.''

So, the three of them headed to the house. Dahlia greeted them, and they held that they will discuss the upcoming planet right after everyone's going to be fully rested, it's a certainty what could happen next.
