After sleep, Dijon and Knuckles woke up. Knuckles' health was way better than it was previously, he'd seemed to be fully recovered from the illness he had before. Both of them were surprised to see that the sky never changed, it was still sunset.
Dijon looked observed. ''How come.. that the day cycle doesn't exist..?''
Dahlia responded to him, with a short answer. ''Well.. cause that's how the spiritual realm cooperates, each part of the world has its image and doesn't follow how the mortal realm.''
As Dijon heard it, he did a nod. ''I see... The spiritual realm is so much different from the realm we live in.''
Knuckles clutched his fists. ''Enough of that..! I think we need to look for Master Emerald, and that's how we can turn things back to normal.''
Dijon took some guessing. ''So, Doctor Eggman managed to swap our worlds with this one.. gosh.. that's how powerful the Chaos Emeralds are..?''
Knuckles did a cross with his hands. ''Exactly, but with the help of Master Emerald too..''
''So... what now..? there's no clear reason, on where we had to go now... it's trouble just to find not a single Void Ring..!"' Dijon said.
Dahlia took a sudden realization. ''Void-Rings.. yesterday they were there.. until they were gone.. must be the work of the Doctor you two have mentioned so far.''
He gasped. ''So, that truly affected even the transportation around the realities..!''
''Yeah... that's truly unfortunate for you two boys. But here's a fun part to hear about from me.'' She told.
''What is it then..? anything to do with our goal..?'' Knuckles questioned it.
''Well... quite like that. There's a strange beam of energy lurking around Sunset Hill, that energy feels rich by its power.''
''And.. all we had to go, is just take a look for it..?'' Dijon questioned Dahlia about it.
''Yes. I'm afraid that this type of energy can endanger many species, such a chaotic power.''
Knuckles looked in a dirt-made road, that was made near the house. ''Hmm.. is that so... Okay..! pretty sure we will on our way now.''
The two heroes gathered their supplies and were ready to take on looking for the radiant beam, somewhere. And so did they go. Multiple hours passed they were lucky as if there were no enemies up their noses. And they finally tracked the beam, it looked quite strange, yet familiar to Knuckles. was glowing by the Blue Aura.
That Red Echidna looked up to close. ''No Joke, that's the energy coming from the Chaos Emerald.''
''Chaos Emerald..? now if it has been mentioned, I can even feel that magnificent power from it.''
''Yeah... Whatever that case, we should get that Emerald, since... we won't want for to fell into bad hands.'''
Dijon was surpised of him. ''Huh... It's good that we can call ourselves by names, now.''
Knuckles took a smirk. ''You know, Dijon... after when you saved me, I'd really taken in your interest, but.. enough with that.. let's get that emerald already.''
As Dijon nodded, Knuckles was taken in the lead. He was full-on sure, of how to interact with that energy in such careful nature, He then tapped into the emerald with his though-looking hands.
Knuckles was calm and suddenly sensed something. ''It's a trap.''
''A TRAP..?!'' Dijon heard his words and summoned his weapon.
