It was getting late for the entire group to be in the area when the titanic figures loomed over them. Panic ensued as they realized they were powerless against this threat. Then, Tails suddenly broke the tension.
"This... is not good. with the size of their hands, they can easily crush a literal city...! We must do something about this, guys...!" Tails said with fear in his voice, trying to think of a plan.
Sonic, his anger rising, looked up at the colossal figures. "There's no way our adventure can end like this, no matter how big they are. I won't let them end our lives!"
Amy bit her lip, fear mirrored in her eyes as she looked at Sonic. "Sonic...?"
Sonic clenched his fists in determination. "I'll take a stand against them. If my punches and sword won't work, then we'll find another way."
Knuckles nodded in agreement. "You're one of the strongest in the group. I'm with you on that."
Dijon nodded as well. "Just don't do anything reckless."
"I've got it... you can count on me, friends. Hopefully, I can fend them off," Sonic declared. He took an athletic stance, preparing to confront the towering threat. He glanced at the rest of the group, who, though skeptical, had accepted the situation. Sonic charged forward, flying into the sky, ready to face them.
However, he was only slightly taller than the massive figures, and he shouted, "Come on creatures! Face me! You're getting in our way!" He was met with a determined response from the Deminins, ready to attack him. Just when it seemed dire, a mysterious figure quietly grabbed Sonic and whisked him out of harm's way.
"Do not interfere with them, idiot!" the figure admonished, and then Sonic found himself far from danger. He was confused and surprised by this turn of events, and he briefly looked at the figure before it disappeared. It appeared that this person possessed a special ability that allowed them to navigate the situation.
Amy looked at the figure, noticing the ragged attire and cloak, but what struck her most was the bird-like muzzle. "We... got saved by... him?"
"Apologies," the figure said, his tone now more welcoming. "Hey, you stopped me, but you, in fact, saved us all. Thank you," Sonic said, expressing gratitude for the rescue.
"I arrived just in time. The chaos led me to you," the figure known as Raziel The Alan explained. "Let me introduce myself. I'm Raziel The Alan, a survivor who has endured life in this place."
"Alan? Are they from a different planet?" Tails asked, intrigued by the Alan species.
"We are the Alanthropus Race, human-like hybrids originating from Mobians. We call ourselves Alanians. Our defining feature is our wings," Raziel replied, revealing his wings to the group.
"This is fascinating. Our bird Mobians don't have wings like that," Tails commented.
Raziel tilted his head. "Our race is, unfortunately, extinct in your world. We still exist in the spiritual realm, like the Universe Centre."
"Extinct? What happened?" Knuckles inquired.
Raziel's tone grew somber. "It was a tragedy that occurred a thousand years ago on Earth. Our race was wiped out by an unknown entity. I'm a descendant of the survivors, but I've only lived in the Universe Centre."
Amy felt sorrow for the fallen race. "Extinction is a tragic fate. We have so much to learn."
Sonic, his spirits lifted, giggled and said, "Did I hear Universe Centre? Can you take us there? That's where we need to go!"
"I can take you there," Raziel affirmed.
"That's great! What are we waiting for? Let's go!" Sonic exclaimed with excitement.
Raziel sat beneath a purple rock. "I can't go there alone. I need help, and that's why I sought out people like you."
"Help?" Sonic's enthusiasm shifted to curiosity.
"That's right. I need assistance with repairing a certain spaceship. Some crucial parts are damaged, rendering it unusable," Raziel explained.
Tails smiled. "Don't worry, Raziel. We can help."
Amy chimed in, "No need to worry. We can fix whatever needs fixing. After all, you saved us."
Knuckles shrugged. "You saved us from those Deminins."
Tears welled up in Raziel's eyes. "After ten years, I've finally found a group of people willing to help me. I'm grateful for your kindness."
Dijon, with his arms crossed, asked, "It all sounds great, but what brought you here in the first place?"
Raziel looked at the ground, deep in thought. "My journey here wasn't just for exploration. I sought the truth."
"The truth?" Knuckles was now deeply intrigued.
"I heard that there might be survivors—my ancestors—still alive. Legends suggest that a part of our race became isolated in another dimension. Each dimension experiences time differently due to the unique behavior of light in the universe. Perhaps there's a chance to find the people I've always looked up to," Raziel explained his goal.
Sonic, still eager to help, said, "We both have goals, right? Let's join forces and help each other. We'll assist you, and you'll assist us."
"A shared dream, a common goal. It's settled. Thank you, my newfound friends. I haven't encountered such kind-hearted people in a long time," Raziel expressed his gratitude.
The group introduced themselves: Sonic the Hedgehog, Miles Tails Prower, Amy Rose, Knuckles the Echidna, and Dijon the Hedgehog. They all felt a sense of camaraderie and purpose as they approached the spaceship. Upon reaching the control room, they discovered that it needed repairs. Tails, using his technical skills, worked diligently to fix the ship. With the combined efforts of the group, the spaceship was soon in perfect condition. Raziel was overjoyed.
"I thank you all," he said with a smile, observing the group's contribution. Tails had played a significant role, while Amy had cleaned the spacecraft. Sonic and the others had also pitched in to help. The spaceship was ready for its journey.
Sonic turned to Raziel, his excitement undiminished. "So, can you lead us to the Universe Centre now?"
"With pleasure. I'll do everything I can for you kind-hearted people," Raziel assured them.
The group departed, one step closer to reaching the Universe Centre.
