Chapter 80

A/N: 

Hello again lovelies, I'm back with another chapter. It was late, yes, but sue to good reason. I moves to another country, again. and it took a while to settle in. But all is taken care of and I should be able to pump out a chapter once a week like before. I'm hoping to quicken the pace so we can wrap this one up nicely and dive into continuing my other books. 

For now, I'll leave this chappie here, hoping you enjoy reading it as much as I did writing it.

Now this was progress, Jungkook thought. In the midst of all the unpredictability, he had forgotten to think about the very near future. Yes, Jungkook had thought about what he was doing, he had thought about why he was doing it, he had drawn the entire big picture down to the details, but one thing he had failed to ponder about was what exactly would Taetae's and Taehyung's first "encounter" look like or sound like, never mind what it would feel like for him to see it happen.

Jungkook was always so motivated and excited to see the results, for all the parties involved, that he had disregarded the fact that the journey is always more exciting and suspenseful than the destination.

What he was witnessing was just as beautiful as it would be to finally be completely open and free to love the man he wants to love. After all, nothing worth having is easy to acquire.

"Hi Taetae~" – Jungkook said almost ripping his cheeks from that wide smile he was wearing.

Taehyung saw the love and devotion, he really did. If only he could go to him and give him the biggest bear hug he could. But alas, he was still terrified of touching someone. 'One day, one day soon' he promised himself. It was time he made a more serious effort to overcome his traumas and shortcomings. He wanted progress and he wanted it with Jungkook.

"Hi Kookie~" – Taetae sang back.

"Taetae says hi as well." – Taehyung relayed Taetae's response to Jungkook, smiling – "You know, this is actually amazing. I know I was scared, terrified even, but this is truly wondrous. It's almost fantastical. And the fact that you have built a relationship with him and you care for him, and he cares for you, it just blows my mind! You know this person that is inside of me that is not me. And you know him when I myself didn't. Isn't that crazy?"

Jungkook couldn't help but coo at Taehyung's preciousness.

"It's crazy yes, and surreal. And when I'm with you or V or Taetae not a single moment goes by that I don't appreciate. Every day with you guys is an adventure. And I'm thankful to be sharing it with you."

"So, what now?" – asked Taehyung – "What's next?"

"Well, talk to Taetae, get to know him, accept him as a part of you and not a foreign anomaly that seems to plague your life. The key is to create a functioning, peaceful and harmonious system. So once you reach there with Taetae, you move on to V."

Taehyung's excitement died down a bit at the mentions of V's name.

Jungkook couldn't help the urge to advise Taehyung.

"I know it's still distressing for you, hearing V's name and imagining him having access to you while your conscious, but I promise, you two might as well me two sides of a single coin, you might be different, you might approach things differently, but eventually you'll come to realize you want the same things. I think you two can overcome this divide and dislike you've had for each other with some will and effort."

"Yea, I'm sure you know what you're talking about. You know him way more than I do. I mean, I don't even know him, not really, I've just heard of him and I know that he's intense. That scares me. I like peace, he likes chaos. Can we really coexist?"

"Absolutely, together you'd balance things out. You need each other. You know, people need chaos, without it there would be no appreciation for peace. Things always find a way to come to a balance. There is no happiness without sadness, there is no light without darkness, and there is no good without bad. Life doesn't stay one way all the time, to every failure there is success. You were scared and stressed yesterday about meeting Taetae, today you're happy and excited. The same could happen with V. Ride the highs and the lows. Enjoy your very special and unique journey. Not anyone can be on an adventure this grand in one lifetime."

"Your positivity stuns me, Jungkook."

"Trust me, I've been on this ride for some time now, it doesn't disappoint. You'll find it out soon." – Jungkook said happily – "So you wanna tell me what you and Taetae talked about so far?"

"Actually, not much, he just sort of introduced himself, told me he's very excited to meet me. He said he wants me to be his friend since he has been very happy after becoming friends with you."

"Aw Taetae, as cute as usual. Isn't he the sweetest?" – Jungkook giggled.

"Yea, he seems like he's the joy of the party, oh and he doesn't quit praising you Jungkook. All this time while we've been speaking, he's been sneaking little praises to me. What have you done to him?" – Taehyung said while laughing.

"Well, actually, whenever he's out I take care of him, sort of like a parent or a brother if you will."

"I see, I wonder, who used to take care of him before we met?"

"V. He never left Taetae alone. He was always safe."

Taehyung's face showed a bit of surprise, as though he wasn't expecting that kind of behavior from V.

The two kept talking for a while with the occasional interruption by Taetae, and then Jungkook left, leaving Taehyung and Taetae to themselves. There was a lot to talk about after all. And Taetae was adamant on covering everything at once.

While Taehyung was happily conversing with Taetae to make up for lost time and memories, he was not expecting to hear one story that would shake him to his core and keep him up till the late hours of the night.
