A/N:
Hey my beauties!
I is back! And I is excited to tell you we're back on a weekly schedule~.
There's no place like home. And I don't speak those words lightly. Though I understand this does not pertain to everyone's life and circumstances. But for a good chunk of the masses, regardless of how difficult, how unmanageable or even how seemingly unbearable it might get, home is like a second skin. It's better to work on bettering it rather than leaving it all together. At least that's my two cents on the matter. At the very least, I'm able to spare a wee bit of time to write when I'm home. Hopefully, my own circumstances will change and allow this homecoming to be for good.
Please do enjoy and see y'all in the next one!

Jungkook was not excited when he heard the question, he wasn't excited when they were on their way, and he definitely was not excited when he was vomiting his guts out into the somewhat clean toilet bowl he was doing his utmost effort not to touch. Jungkook had always had motion sickness, but he also always had a soft spot for a pouty Taetae, which is how he ended up joining the boy on the rides after taking him to the dreaded park. Not all of those rides were a one way ticket to the toilet, but the Gyro Drop one was the devil. Jungkook could swear he saw parts of his insides leave him as he dropped from the sky like a fallen angel; he was sure he was suffering someone's wrath. Taetae on the other hand seemed to be having the time of his life as he screamed at the top of his lungs, oblivious to the torment of the man that was turning green next to him until they had to sprint to reach their current destination.
"Why didn't you tell me you get sick from these rides?" – Taetae asked as they left the very public toilet, decidedly ignoring the mob of displeased people on their way out.
"Because I'm spineless when it comes to saying no to you." – Jungkook answered sounding less than content, not with Taetae but with his nausea, though it was only natural that the boy assumed the unpleasantness taking place was his own fault.
"I'm sorry... I shouldn't have made you do this." – The boy's head hung low.
Taetae was wearing a mask – "We must not be noticed in such a public place." – Jungkook had said. Taetae always understood that some liberties he couldn't allow himself considering Taehyung was a known personality - in fact, somewhat of a celebrity.
"Oh, come on sweetie, that's not how I meant that. Please don't feel sad. I just meant that I want to do and give you everything you want no matter the cost, even if it's at my expense. I'm not upset with you at all, I'm angry with myself for not respecting my own boundaries. I'm just a bit snappy 'cause I feel sick." – Jungkook tried reversing the effect of his words to the best of his abilities. Taetae's eyes lifted, but only for a moment.
"Come on baby. I brought you here to make you happy not sad. If you don't cheer up it's going to make me sad and ruin our day with each other. I don't want that. Do you?" – Taetae shook his head, rejecting that possibility and his eyes slowly reached Jungkook's.
"Give me a beautiful smile to make my day good again please?"
Taetae obliged of course. He was just as concerned with pleasing Jungkook, but he didn't think that made him spineless. He was happy to please him any way he could. Isn't that what one does when they love someone? He was sure it was the same for Jungkook. Taetae was just not used to harsher words coming from him.
"I can't see anything~." – Jungkook sang, but instead of giving him a little peak, Taetae lowered the mask completely and flashed his brightest, boxiest smile yet.
Jungkook laughed and quickly put the mask back on, hiding Taetae's beautiful face.
"That's my boy. C'mon, let's get you home."
If Taetae's favorite person was Jungkook, then his favorite thing to do was lying in Jungkook's arms. After a lifetime of being deprived of touch, being enveloped in the embrace of Jungkook was a special kind of heaven. If he had the proper words to explain, Taetae would let the world know that he was high; he was high on Jungkook, high on his touch and his scent, high on his care and love. Then a sigh interrupted him, too suddenly.
Jungkook adjusted himself to look into Taetae's eyes.
"I sometimes wish I could go in there with you." – He said while pointing to Taetae's head, looking into his eyes in hopes to convey thoughts and feelings the boy was probably not mature enough to receive. How could such a young child decipher a look or read between the lines?
But the boy understood; he understood too quickly.
"You want to see V."
"Actually, I just want to be able to see and be with all of you. I hate that I can't be with everyone. I hate that in order to be with one of you, I have to let go of two. And I hate that I don't have a way to change that."
"I hate that too. Sometimes... Sometimes I don't want to share you."
"My baby." – Jungkook grabbed the boy's face and planted a sweet kiss on his lovely nose before burying it into his own neck. – "I want to keep you so bad."
"Please. Keep me. Keep us." – Taetae's vulnerability was beautiful but painful to experience. It carried so much hurt and fear. It weighed heavy on Jungkook' heart. The man didn't think the conversation would take such a turn. He had to look into the boy's eyes before saying anything.
"Baby, as long as you guys stick to me, I will stick to you. I promise you that."
It was silent for a few minutes, until Jungkook said – "Today is yours. Tonight we sleep and we can talk about sharing the rest of the time with V tomorrow. Is that okay?"
Taetae smiled. He was content. Jungkook could see it in his eyes; the gorgeous orbs that never fail to soothe his soul.
"Did you have fun today baby?" – He asked as he booped the bubbly kid's nose.
Taetae giggled. –"I had the most fun! Minus the throwing up."
"Oh no. That must never be spoken of again. We bury it in the past where it belongs."
"Just like your dignity."
"Heeeey." - Jungkook exclaimed – "And who said you can poke fun at me, huh?" –Jungkook tickled an already cackling Taetae. – "Also how do you know what dignity means?"
"I'm young, not stupid, Kookie."
"Oh yes, it seems I might be learning that the hard way."
"Hey! You know I'm not dumb! Take that back!" – Taetae said and lightly hit Jungkook's shoulder.
"Did you think that you're the only one who's got jokes?"
"Yes, yes I did."
The playful banter went on. Boys being boys was not a thing Taetae experienced often, if ever. Taetae was not just happy; he was thankful and grateful as he slept next to the only brotherly figure he's ever known.
