38| Happy Birthday Desiree!

Today is Desiree's ninth birthday and she is so excited to be one year closer to being ten. Her parents and siblings walked into her room to surprise her. Christian is holding Funfetti pancakes with whipped cream and a lit number nine candle. Skai came by last night and she held a bunch of balloons in her hand. Azuree was holding the camera to document her sisters reaction. Toni silently counted down from ten and the family screamed,

"Happy birthday!" Desiree jumped out of bed in shock and looked at her family. She smiled and hugged her parents first.

"Happy birthday baby."

"Thank you, mommy and momma."

"Did we scare you?" Skai asked.

"A little bit." King put the plate of food down and Desiree hugged her siblings.

"Thank you, guys." After Desiree ate breakfast, she thanked everyone who called to say happy birthday to her. For her birthday her parents are taking her to this indoor water park a few hours from them. Almost the whole family was going to be there for Desiree and she was excited. Azuree did her hair in these tribal braids and put clear and colorful beads at the ends.

"So he wants to send us..."

"The Bahamas?" Autumn asked.

"Mexico?" Gen asked.

"Let's see if y'all know when I do this." Paris took her sweater and wrapped it around her head.

"Girl we going to Islam?" Stevanna said and they laughed at their cousin. The four cousins were mocking a scene from basketball wives.

"Guys that is stupid." Janet told her nieces and they laughed louder.

"It's from a show Auntie. You've never seen it?"

"No, what's the show?" Janet asked as she packed a bag with sunscreen and towels.

"Basketball Wives."

"Oh no, I don't want reality shows like that." The extended Jackson family loaded up in their cars and headed to the water park.

"Momma, can you go down that slide with me?" Desiree asked Janet but she kindly declined. With her being pregnant, she isn't allowed to go on any rides.

"No, I can't go with you, baby. Ask one of your cousins." She nodded and ran to where her cousins were standing. Stevanna went on the water ride with her younger cousin and they had fun.

"What is she going to want to do when she's ten?" Toni asked as she rubbed her wife's stomach.

"Probably wear us out again." She said and Toni laughed.

"Mmm, our anniversary is in less than a week. Where are you taking me?" Toni asked and Janet rose her brow.

"No, where are you taking me?"

"Then I guess we ain't going nowhere."

"Toni stop playing." She laughed and kissed her wife's cheek.

"We are going... somewhere... somewhere that you will love."

"That's not helping me."

Toni smiled, "Just know that you're going to love it."

"I better or else..."

"Or else what?"

"You won't be getting your anniversary present."
