The couple held each other as they slept. Janet's face was buried between Toni's neck and her legs wrapped around her waist. Toni's phone ringing woke her up from her slumber. She reached over to the nightstand and grabbed her phone. Without looking she answered her phone.

"Hello?"

"Mommy?"

"Yes, Eissa." Toni spoke as she rubbed her eyes.

"You said we were going for breakfast for momma's birthday."

"I did...?"

"Yes, and I'm ready. Are you?"

"No not yet, just give us about an hour."

"Okay, King taught me time so I know what an hour is."

Toni chuckled, "Okay baby, we will be ready." Toni hung up the phone and woke up her wife. Janet snuggled deeper into Toni's chest causing her to laugh.

"Baby, I promised the kids that we would go out to breakfast to celebrate your birthday."

"Promises are meant to be broken."

"Stop it, baby." Toni sat up with Janet on her chest and she rubbed her back.

"I don't want to get up..." She whined and Toni got out of bed with Janet in her arms. She sat her on the toilet seat as she turned on the shower water.

"Oh shit, I don't have any clothes here. It's in the room with the kids."

"You can wear some of my clothes, we kind of wear the same size."

"I was going to wear them anyway, I bought them." Janet chuckled. The two of them began getting ready for the day. The couple's outfits seemed to coordinate with each other. Toni had on a black long-sleeved crop top while Janet had on the white one. They each had on denim pants and sneakers to match their tops.

"Momma?"

"Yes." She spoke as she looked at him. Eissa smiled as he blushed.

"Did you just want to call my name?"

"Yes, 'cause I miss you." Janet smiled and looked at him.

"I miss you too baby. Do you know what you're getting?"

"Yes, can I do it?"

"You want to order yourself?"

"Yes, can I?!"

"Yeah, you can baby."

"I'm getting pancakes with strawberries."

"Okay, you don't want any bacon or eggs?"

"I'll get some of yours."

Janet laughed, "Whatever you say." Soon the waiter came by and took their orders. Eissa went first so that he wouldn't forget.

"May I have apple juice and pancakes with strawberries, please?"

"Okay, but the strawberries are 90¢ extra. Is that okay?"

"Never mind I have strawberries at home." Eissa spoke and they laughed.

"What is wrong with him?" Christian laughed.

"Can you give him the strawberries please?" The waiter nodded and took the rest of their orders before going to the kitchen. Toni looked at her daughter and saw discomfort written all over her face.
