Nobody's POV
March 27

It's been about a week since Toni had her surgery and now she's recovering. Janet and their children have been helping Toni around the house since she came home. Tomorrow, Janet has to go back to work since she's been off for a while. Toni is dreading tomorrow. She doesn't want her wife to leave her but she understands that she has to work to make her money.

"Mom someone keeps texting and calling you, it's a number." Christian spoke. Toni had left her phone in the kitchen but she didn't need it since she was engaged in the television.

"What does the message say?"

"It says 'Hi Toni this...' never mind. They got the wrong number."

"King, they know my name so it's definitely not the wrong number."

"It's not important though." Azuree walked down the stairs and acknowledged her mother before walking into the kitchen.

"Zee, Evelyn texted mommy." He whispered and she looked at him.

"What? When?"

"Just now. I told her that a number kept calling and texting her so she told me to read the message, I did but I stopped when I saw her name."

"King, can you pass me my phone, please?"

"Mommy you don't need it, watch the TV." Azuree said and Toni shook her head.

"Girl, so read the message to me. It's obviously important because the person knows my name."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, girl."

"It's Evelyn."

"What?!"

"Mommy this is why I didn't want to tell you."

"No, give me my phone."

"No, she doesn't want anything." Toni got up from the couch and walked into the kitchen. She grabbed her phone from the counter and looked at the message.

646-272-1909– Hi Toni this is Evelyn. I just wanted to check up on you because I heard the girls talking about you. I'm sorry that happened to you and I hope you have a speedy recovery. ❤️

"Oh..." Toni didn't know how to react. She knows Evelyn means well but with all of the shit she put her through, Toni can't trust her again. Janet walked into the kitchen and saw her wife's face.

"What happened love?"

"Evelyn texted me."

"Oh, baby."

"I didn't want to tell her but she came in here and took her phone." King spoke.

"Toni—"

"I'm fine baby, I am."

"Are you sure?"

"Yes, I am sure." She pecked Janet's lips and walked to the backyard. She sighed and called Tamar.

"She's not fine." They said at the same time.

"I know but she's trying to be calm for her health but I know she's angry as fuck right now."

Toni's POV

"I'm fucking angry right now Tamar." I spoke as I bounced my leg up and down. I was sitting on one of the pool chairs while I talked to Tamar.

"I am too. I haven't spoken to her in a couple of months. I thought you blocked her though?"

"I did, maybe she got another number or she's texting me from a different number."
