Tamar's POV

"Girl, why did you leave us yesterday?" I asked Toni over the phone. We have been in Mexico for about a week and yesterday we had a fancy dinner. Trina decided to invite Daddy and his wife for closure. She mentioned it at the dinner and that's when Toni left. She later texted me that she was going home. I don't blame her for leaving. I know Trina's intention wasn't for Toni to be uncomfortable, she invited Daddy for herself. She asked him why didn't he come to her wedding to walk her down the aisle and boy... it was a mess.

"Cause I didn't wanna see that man and our anniversary is tomorrow so I left. Tell me what happened though because I'm nosy."

"Girllll a lot!" I said and popped my gums.

"Tell me, tell me..." Her nosy self begged and I chuckled.

"Okay so you know he didn't show up to Trina's wedding and she wanted to know why, he said cause his wife wasn't invited and then he said that he didn't want to be in the same room as you and Janet..."

"Boooo! So he didn't show up for his daughter's wedding to walk her down the aisle because I was going to be there and his wife wasn't invited?"

"Yes, but Trina wasn't mad at him saying that. It's what he said after, that blew me."

"I'm waiting."

"He said that his wife told him to go but he didn't because he didn't like the fact that Trina told him what to do."

"What?!" She exclaimed in disbelief and I nodded.

"Toni yes. Then I started crying because I felt the hurt for Trina then his wife cried and walked out and this man... Evelyn's ex-husband almost got up and went after her instead of consoling his crying daughters. His wife had to tell him to stay...."

"Eek, what a man." Toni said and I laughed.

"And then he started going off about how we can't tell him what to do, how he was there for every single one of us—"

"Lies." She said and I popped my gums.

"Girl yesss. Then I started to yell at him, I was like you gotta choose your kids over your wife."

"Point blank period."

"Exactly and then I left because he wasn't acknowledging his biggest mistake, I mean I know he was there for Trina but come on, be real." I heard Toni chuckle and I shook my head.

"He don't wanna say that he made that mistake or whatever he might call it. He wants me to be like 'I'm sorry I'm gay' when I'm not sorry. Like what..."

I laughed, "And then he left. Trina was so hurt and I was hurt for her and you too because like, be a man... be a father. Like niggas... I hate niggas." Toni laughed and I chuckled.

"Amen, but Tay I keep on telling you to not be hurt for me. I'm not hurting, I'm fine."

"I just hope you mean it butttt, you'll see everything tonight."

"I might watch it and I hope that the fans aren't going to be mad at Trina."

"I hope not too. Anyways, did your family miss you because I wouldn't have." I joked and heard her cackle.

"I only saw Janet and Eissa. I came when the kids went to school, There was so much traffic and the flight was delayed because of the heavy rain."

"Ohhhh." After talking on the phone with Toni for a while, I had to go because Logan began to get cranky.

The thing about my dad is that he won't own up to his mistakes. He says 'Oh I can't go back and change the past' which is true but that's not an apology. Like, apologize from your heart, not your ass.
