Nobody's POV
May 4

"Mommy how old is Mama K today?"

"How old do you think she is?"

"Uhh one hundred." Desiree joked and Toni laughed.

"Don't let her hear you say that."

"I'm just kidding, I think she's eighty."

"Close, she's seventy-four."

"Seventy-four?!" Desiree asked in shocked and Toni nodded.

"She looks younger."

"Mmhmm, that's because black don't crack—"

"Unless you do it." Christian added and Toni laughed.

"Where did you here that from?"

"Around... black don't crack unless you do it but it do swell up and brown don't frown." Toni laughed again. Today is Katherine's birthday and the family is getting ready to go over to her house. They are throwing a surprise party for her so Rebbie and Janet took her out for the day.

"Shoes mommy." Eissa said walking to Toni with his shoes in his hands. She picked him up, sat him on the counter and put on his shoes.

"All done!"

"Yes all done. Tell Skai to wipe your face." She put him down and he ran to his sister. After a few more minutes, they were ready to leave the house.

"Who's driving cause it's not me." Toni joked.

"Me!" Eissa said.

"Papa you can't drive yet, you have about fifteen more years." Toni got into the car and drove to Katherine's house. Skai unbuckled her brother and helped him get out.

"Me got it."

"Oh my bad." She said and slightly chuckled. They walked inside of the house and was greeted by Stacee.

"Hello family."

"Hello."

"Hiiiii!" Eissa cheered.

"Hi Papa." She picked him up and kissed his cheek.

"Mommy said that they should be back soon." Yashi told her aunt who nodded. The family decorated the house as Skai went to go to the bakery and pick up the cake. She came back with a mean mug on her face and Toni frowned.

"What happened baby?"

"I'm standing in the pick up line because I'm picking up the cake. Out the corner of my eye I see this man trying to get in front of me so I'm watching him. So he goes in front of me and I go 'Excuse me sir, I know you seen me standing here' he talking bout some, 'I always order from here.'"

Toni laughed, "And what you said? Cause I know you said something crazy." Skai nodded and put the cake on the table.

"I said 'You can order here Monday Tuesday Wednesday Thursday Friday Saturday or Sunday, but I'm here right now and you not about to skip me."

"Exactly."

"Then he was like 'Oh you so disrespectful, do your parents know how disrespectful you are?' So I said my mom is right around the corner, do you want me to get her for you? Then he says something so I said again, do you want me to get my mom. He got behind me and I got the cake."

"That is right girl." Latoya said and laughed.

"Skai and Des act so much like Tamar it's crazy. Azuree is scared and doesn't like confrontation, sticking up for herself."
