Toni's POV

I went to the mall and I got something for Janet. I'm going to surprise her and hopefully, she likes it. I put my purse down on the counter and headed upstairs to our room. I saw her laying on the bed with Desiree asleep next to her. I smiled and walked into the room.

"Hi, love."

"Hi, baby. Did you have fun at the mall with your aunts?" I nodded and went over to kiss her. Janet grabbed my waist and pulled me closer to her. I broke the kiss and shook my head. She's always trying to start something. I sat on the bed and looked at Janet.

"I have something to show you. Do you want to see it?"

"Yes— wait no because if you got another pet I'm kicking you out." She joked and we laughed.

"No, I didn't." I put two pillows on the side of Desiree and lead Janet to the bathroom. I closed the door and saw Janet biting her bottom lip.

"Ohh it's like that." Janet said and walked over to me. I put my hand up stopping her midway.

"I'm just showing you something." I lifted my shirt revealing my nipple piercings. I been had them but I changed my rings today. The ones I'm wearing now have her initial J on them.

"You like?" She didn't respond. Let's just say she showed me instead of telling me.

I laid in bed with my eyes slowly closing. After our shower, Janet put Desiree in her room to sleep. My whole body is sore and I can't feel my legs. The door opened and I kept my eyes closed thinking that it was Janet but I was wrong.

"Mommy, are you sleeping?"

"I was trying too. What happened?" Now you would think that she would tell me to go back to sleep but I was wrong again.

"Oh, I wanted to let you and momma hear something."

"Hear what?"

"Somethingggg." I sighed and she grabbed my hand, damn near pulling me out of bed. I followed her downstairs and saw Janet already down there.

"What is our daughter up to?"

"I have no idea." We followed her down to the studio and she sat at the piano. Ohh she's going to play for us again.

"What are you going to play?"

"Don't play that song by Aretha Franklin."

"Okay, baby." Janet said and we sat on the couch behind her. She played the first few notes of the song and started singing from the second verse.

"Hey mister, don't play it no more
Don't play it no more
I can't stand it
Don't play it no more." Janet and I looked at each other in shock. Our baby can really sing and she does sound like Janet.

"I remember on our first date
He kissed me and he walked away
I was only seventeen
I never dream he'd be so mean." Azuree has perfect voice control for a six-year-old.

"He told me darling
Darling, I love you
Baby, baby, you lied
Darling, I need you
You, you lied
Darling, I love you
You know that you lied
You lied
Lied
You lied
Lied, lied
To me." The song came to an end and she looked back for our reaction.

"Baby that was so good." Janet praised her and she blushed.

"Really?"

"Yes, baby you sounded so beautiful." I added. Azuree has some true pipes and I can see a bright future for her.

Whitney's POV

A couple of weeks ago we had just started filming the movie Sparkle. I can tell it's going to be good and it's also a remake. My children are here today to watch their mother in action.

"Now you three have to be quiet and no arguing." I told them and they nodded. This particular scene was filming is when Jordin talks about the gift that god gave her. I had rollers in my hair and I was in a house dress. I'm channeling my mother in this scene, so let's see how this goes.

"I have made it very simple in this house; respect, getting an education, and having a relationship with the lord. If you can't do that then go." I told my tv daughters Jordin and Tika.

"Why would the lord give me this gift if I wasn't supposed to use it?" Jordin whispered and I rose my brow.

"What you say?"

"All I think about is music. I try to turn it off but I can't. I know the lord loves me and he wouldn't torture me with something I want to do."

"Sparkle, you can have a gift, it's how you use it." After about two hours of filming, we were finally done for the day. I said goodbye to all of my cast and crew members and left the building. Paris drove her car here but now she's driving with me and the boys are driving her car.

"How does it feel to be back acting?" She asked me as she stopped at a red light. I looked at her and smiled,

"It feels good. I like this movie better than—"

"Waiting to exhale?" She cut me off.

"If you would let me finish and no, the preachers' wife. I honestly thought that I was going to be cheating when I read the title."

"Oh yeah."

"But it was a good movie I just like Sparkle better."

"Me too and I love your singing voice, Mommy." Paris told me and started back driving. I smiled and patted her leg.

"Awww thank you, baby." My voice has changed a bit from all the crying I've been doing and the drugs. It has changed my singing and speaking voice to a more raspier tone. It's different but I like it still. I saw that she passed the block we're supposed to turn on to go to the house. I looked at her and she started laughing.

"Umm you do know that you passed the house, right?"

"Yeah." She said and laughed again.

"Okayyy... are you going to turn on this street."

"Nope." Paris said and drove straight. I looked back and saw Bigi and Prince behind us. I scratched my head in confusion and looked back at her.

"Where are you guys taking me?"

"To dinner because we are proud of you for everything you have overcome and for your role in your new movie. We know it has been hard since Dad passed and we just want to treat you to dinner." I felt tears cloud my eyes and I wiped them before they fell.

"It's okay Mommy don't cry." Paris said and I nodded my head. How can I not? I grabbed her hand and kissed the back of it. I have the best kids ever and I wouldn't trade them for the world.
