80| Together Again

"I'm nervous mommy." Azuree spoke as she got ready to go on stage. To kick off the New Year she is in New York to perform her rendition of her mother's song 'Together Again'.

"You'll be fine baby and you'll do amazing."

"I knowww. Does momma know?" Janet doesn't know about her daughter's performance. All Azuree told her was that she and Darryl were going to New York for the New Year.

"Nope, she doesn't know. How long until you perform?"

"Ten minutes... I'm still nervous. How do you guys do it?"

Toni laughed, "Well we've been doing it since before you were born..."

"But every show is different so answer my question, Mommy."

"Yes we get nervous... sometimes, but it will go away soon."

"Alright, I believe you. Make sure that momma is watching."

"Yes, I will, and don't you have to be on stage soon?"

"Oh yeah, bye!" She said and hung up the phone. As if on cue, Janet and Eissa walked downstairs. They sat on the couch next to Toni and watched the television.

"Make some noise for my girl, the beautiful, Halle Jackson!" Ciara announced. Azuree took a deep breath before walking out on stage with her guitar. The crowd cheered as she walked out.

"Wait... that's our baby Toni!" Janet said excitedly and Toni nodded.

"Yes, surprise!"

"No way you guys kept this from me." Janet said in disbelief.

"There are times when I look above and beyond..."

"And she's singing my song!"

"Momma, Zee!" Eissa exclaimed and pointed at the tv.

"Yes, I see her Papa."

"Her sing you song."

"Mmhmm, was she nervous baby?"

"Yeah, but she didn't seem nervous now. I told her once she gets out there it's going to go away."

"I can see your smile shining down on meeeee!"

"Oh baby, she did so amazing. I'll call her later."

About a year ago, Azuree began filming for her role in The Little Mermaid. She's almost done filming and it's set to be released in May, sometime after Janet's birthday. She is also on the soundtrack for the movie which comes out before the film. Azuree also has another role in a remake of The Color Purple. She plays a young Nettie Harris and that movie comes out on Christmas Day. As for college, Azuree goes to UCLA and is a sophomore studying music. As for her performance on New Year's, she had fun. When she came home her mother thanked her with hugs and kisses.

Skai graduated from high school and is planning on going to college at UCLA. She is having second thoughts about college because she doesn't want to leave her family and her home but she has to decide really soon. If Skai decides to go to UCLA, she will be studying film and television. She's not acting right now, just focusing on school and her YouTube channel. Her friend, Kyla, is planning on going to UCLA too but if Skai doesn't go she will not be attending.

King also goes to school at UCLA and he's also a sophmore like his sister. His major is African-American Studies and his minor is Art History. When he's not in school he is working on being an upcoming rap artist.
