70| St. Tamar's Day

Azuree's POV

Mommy called back my manager and told her that I would take the movie deal. If I— no when I get the role, I am set to start filming after I graduate and then I can decide if I want to go to college also. I haven't called my great-grandmother yet to tell her about my movie deal so I'm going to do that now. A couple of months ago I sent her an iPhone and made sure that my number was stored in it so that she wouldn't have to keep using the house phone to call me.

"Hi, granny."

"Hi Halle, how's everything?"

"Good, I have some good news for you?"

"What?"

"I'm going to audition for the role to be in the little mermaid!" I said and she cheered.

"That's wonderful baby. Who are you playing?"

"Ariel."

"Really? That's exciting. Are you excited?"

"Yes I am, I can't wait."

"I can't wait either. How long do you think recording is going to take?"

"Maybe a year or two. It's going to take a bit longer because of all of the effects and the water." We talked on the phone for a while before she hung up. She had to go cook and clean up her house a bit. I can't wait to go back to St. Lucia.

Tamar's POV

"Since my birthday falls on a Friday, we're going to the club." I said while on FaceTime with my sisters and Janet. We're going to Jay-Z's new club that just opened about a month ago and I heard that it's lit.

"Okay, what time would we be leaving?"

"Around one in the morning."

"One?!" Toni and Janet exclaimed and I laughed.

"Yes, I forgot that you guys are old."

"Girl bye. So if we're leaving at that time, what time are we coming back."

"By the time your kids wake up, we should be back." I said and their eyes widened.

"What? That's crazy."

"Ya can't hanggg!" I said and Toni nodded.

"We need some young people to tag along." Traci said and I nodded in agreement.

"Traci we're a few years apart so you're up there with me too." Toni said causing her to laugh.

"I agree with Traci. Janet, you should invite your nieces and nephews." Trina spoke.

"Hell no I'm not clubbing with them."

"Why not? They'll be fun."

"Fine, I'll give them a call today."

"Yesss and invite your siblings too."

"Will do."

"Since all of those people are supposedly coming, how about we take the limo? A little birthday treat for Tay too." Toni said and I nodded.

"Yeah, that will be good. Ouuu I can't wait for Friday to come."

"We gotta take shots at Toni's house before going to the club." Trina stated and I shook my head. Always thinking about a drink.

"Oh hell no. We're going to be so wasted."

"That's the point hello! It's my birthday. We know Toni and Janet could get drunk."
