Chapter 44

I sat down next to Sirius in our room, his parents gave us a room to share till we move out. Dumbledore never spoke with us. I still see us helping him so he must talk to us here soon

"Can you say something please?" I finally ask after i told him everything about my visions of being kidnapped and everything that happened. Turns out Lily did not tell James everything, that or James didn't tell Sirius everything

Sirius gets up and looks to me upset, "Why would you not tell me??"

"Because telling you changes the future and i needed to try and find all the Horcruxes. I found all but the snake and ring. I'm telling you now though so non of what i told you will happen"

"You don't know that! Do you know when you get kiddnapped??"

"Yes i do," i let out a small breath before answering, "In 2 years"

"What??"

I stand up and grab his shoulders and make him look at me, "I am telling you now ok? I am safe. I will make sure you will not have to go through any of that and i will make sure i dont. Ok? I won't get kiddnapped. I promise"

"Guys," James calls out from our door as he knocks, "Remus is here. So is Dumbledore"

Sirius and i look at each other before leaving the room. We walk down stairs and sure enough Dumbledore is standing in the living room with Remus, James and Sirius' parents, and Lily

"Ah good. Now that everyone is here, minus Mr. Pettigrew, i see, i would like to speak to you all"

We all stand next to each other. The others and i knew what was coming but we had to act like we didn't. We couldn't let Dumbledore know about myself. I did not trust him one bit

"What's going on?" Lily asks as we watch him

"I am forming a group to fight off Death Eaters. I have watches you all closely, as i have other students. You lot would be perfect for helping me fight the Death Eaters and He-Who-Shale-Not-Be-Named"

"What makes you think we would be good for it?" Remus asks already knowing he and the others are joining, I'm sure he's just worried about his furry little problem

"I do believe Mr. Potter and Mr. Black were able to graduate because of you, Mr. Lupin," Dumbledore gives him a knowing look before looking to Lily and i, "You both are very brilliant and all of you did very well in DADA"

"So you want us, a bunch of kids, to fight you-know-who and his army?"

"Ah, but you are all now 17 or older. Your no longer children. This day and age its hard for children to be children. I do believe you and your fellow class mates were only as happy and care free because of your pranks. I would like you to help me fight and end this war"

We look over at each other. Each of us looking at the other. We knew what was to come, thanks to myself, however things have changed. Peter is not with us, I'm not sure if he will be joining us or not however i do know we need to join Dumbledore. We need to get more training under our belt in order to fight properly and protect those we care about

"We will help," i finally tell Dumbledore who smiles

"Good, well i must be off," he starts to walk to the fire place only to pause and turn to me, "Almost forgot. Here you are, Mr. Evans," Dumbledore holds out a crystal ball

I slowly take it then look to him. I didn't have to ask a question. I could tell by his eyes he knew. How did he know i was a seer? No idea but i did not like that he knew

"Well, enjoy your evening. I will sent you a letter in a few days on where to meet. You will be living in a safe house till you are trained. Pack clothes and essentials. I don't except you all to be staying too long in training. The Professor makes sure your trained very quickly"

He then steps into the fire place and leaves in green flames. It was silent after he left. We stood there for a,few minutes processing what just happened

"We're really going to join the fighting," Lily finally says before looking to me, "We are really doing this"

"We are," i give her a smile and take her hand, "But we are doing this to help those like us and those like our parents"

"Guess this means we won't see Petunia any time soon"

"Lily, i know you don't want to hear this but she doesn't want to see us. Her husband doesn't either. We won't be in her life for a very long time if ever"

She frowns at me but says nothing. She knew i was right, she just hated to admit it.

"Well, dinner is ready," Euphemia tells us making us look to her. You could tell she was worried but she also wore a proud smile, "Well, come on. Lets not let the food get cold!"

We all quickly sit at the table and start eating. Thankfully we were able to still joke and laugh all together even though we were going to be full adults and start training and fighting as such. I wonder how hard it will be to get a job after the war. The war is supposed to end in about 5 years. Thats 5 years of 'doing nothing' to places of work. Unless they will accept that we fought in a war. Maybe that will give us a step up in the job area

"What are you thinking about?" Sirius whispers to me, probably worried about me

"I'm trying to figure out if it will be hard to get a job after this war is over," this makes everyone quiet down and look to me, "I mean, if we get jobs while this war is going on we won't be able to help Dumbledore. If we wait to get jobs till after the war is over, will it be hard to get a job?"

Everyone looks to each other before Lily smiles and looks to me, "We will figure that out when its time to. I'm just glad we get to look forward to a future"

Sadly we couldn't tell James and Sirius' parents. We trust them but if anyone found out they knew something it could be bad for them.
