Chapter 12

I couldnt help but look into loads of books and try to learn as many advanced spells, charms, ect. As i could learn. I wanted to be as prepared as physically possible. That being said, Sirius didnt let me get too dragged into books. He still pulled me along to pull pranks and honestly i felt we had grown even closer then ever before. I also found myself falling for him, even though i kept telling myself not to. Lily knew me far too well and warned me this would happen yet i didnt listen 

"So do you already know all the answers for the exams?" Sirius asks as i help him look up some charms he would need for his prank

"Not really," i pause and looked at him, "I was too busy paying attention to the war going on to try and remember the answers to the exams" 

"Fair enough," he shrug before pausing again, "Hey, last year you said age treats me well. What did you mean?"

I watched him for a moment before smiling softly, "Your very attractive as an adult"

"Oh really?" He smirks and raises an eyebrow at me, "Someone fancy adult me?"

I chuckle and look back to the book, "Who says i dont fancy you now?"

I knew that caught him off guard without even looking at him. I also knew this could put a strain on our friendship but i also figured with the war going on i wont know what happens to me now that im changing the future and i dont plan to look and see any time soon. I wanted to stick my neck out and try going for something i wanted. I even remember seeing myself regret never telling Sirius i had a crush on him

"I-"

The door opens and i watch as Lily walks into the room laughing with James right behind her grinning. Ive noticed this year, so far since we have been in school, Lily has opened up more to James and James has acted less arrogant and is truly trying to be Lily's friend before pushing the relationship further. It was nice to see them together.

"What are you two working on?" Lily asks after she notices Sirius and i sitting on the couch

"A prank," i tell her simply ignoring Sirius looking at me like i has just confessed to McGonagall 

Lily frowned at me and opened her mouth to speak but i cut her off, "Im just enjoying being a kid and life in Hogwarts. Unless you want me only working on school work which will lead me to stressing about the war, which is getting worst by the minute, and thinking about our future, and thinking about how i had to watch you and James get buried-"

"Ok," she cuts me off then sighs before she smiles softly, "I wasnt going to scold you for pranking i was just going to say dont get hurt or caught. Everyone needs a distraction"

Shes not wrong. In the past month we have been back at Hogwarts the war has gotten worst. It was only because of the Marauder pranks and the pranks Sirius and i have done that everyone has been able to smile and have simi happy lives at Hogwarts. Even the Professors have eased up on punishing us. As long as no one gets her the punishment is writing a few lines then leaving. Dumbledore has also decided to hold a Winter ball this year and next year. His way of helping the students relax a bit 

"Yes ma'am," i grin at her before looking at the time, "I need to be getting back to my dorm room. These are the charms ive found so far. You can pick through them and let me know what you think"

"Your not helping me?" Sirius asks surprised

"Not this time," i grin at him, "I have a prank i need to work on myself. Before you ask no i wont tell you what it is. I want it to  be a surprise"

He looks shocked but says nothing as i head out of the Gryffindor commons room and headed off to the Ravenclaw housing. I went up to my room then pulled out my journal, which is locked and charmed so no one can read it besides myself. I then sat at my desk and got to writing in the journal

The next day i got up and headed to the Great Hall only to pause when i spot Severus hanging around a statue looking around nervously and impatiently. I knew Severus could be trusted however the others didnt and i knew the guys wouldnt trust him. I knew we needed him though so i knew i needed to talk to him 

"Severus," he looks to me quickly as i motion with my head for him to follow me

He followed without a word and i led us to the Room of Requirement. Once we were inside i sat down in one of the chairs that had appeared and motion for him to sit. He did so, hesitantly, and watched me closely 

"I know what the mark is now," i watched as he tenses up greatly, "Your not a bad guy Severus. You just got sucked up into a bad crowd"

He looks down for a moment before looking at me, "What did you see?" 

I watch him for a moment before telling him, "Lily married James," he looked devastated at that but i kept talking. "The war gets worst so its a small wedding with just the Marauders, myself, and Dumbledore who married them. After that we each are sent onto our own missions to help in our part of the war. Lily then ends up pregnant so her and James go into hiding to protect Lily and the baby. Lily and James become Tom's main targets seeing as they were making the most progress in the war defeating the Death Eaters"

I pause for a moment before continuing, "Your one of Tom's most trusted Death Eaters. He sends you to go to Dumbledor to act as a spy however once you hear Tom wants to kill Lily you become Dumbledor's spy. Non of us know this at the time for your safety. What no one knows is there is a spy in the group who was telling Tom all of the plans Dumbledor told you not to tell Tom. Finally Tom finds out where James and Lily are hiding and you beg him not to  kill Lily. He promises not to but he does. He kills James then murders Lily right in front of her son"

His eyes were wide as he listened to this. He was in shock, i could tell. I kept going though, because he needed to know, "You end up becoming a Potions Professor here at Hogwarts and Slytherin's head of house. Lily's son is forest to live with our older sister and her family and honestly he is raised a lot like you grew up with your muggle father." That made him flinch slightly but he didnt say a word, "Even so you took one look at the boy and decided to make his life a living hell because he looked just like James yet you also saved him from dying however that also came form a part of you trying to pay back James seeing as he does save your life in the near future"

"What do you mean Potter saves my life?" How that thought ticked him off however i didnt answer that question seeing as i wanted to see if that part of the future would still come true. If it did it meant Severus would owe James and if James and Lily do die Severus would have to protect Harry 

"In the boy's 6th year Dumbledor dies by your hand," that made Severus freeze up a bit with wide eyes, "Dumbledor told you to do so because Tom sent a boy, your godson, to kill Dumbledor. Dumbledor didnt want the boy to suffer with that guilt and he was dying anyway so he told you to do it. After that Hogwarts becomes Tom's school with you as the Headmaster. In the end Tom kills you but you play your last part in helping Lily's boy by letting him take your tear which held your memories of Lily and of yours and Dumbldor's conversations. The boy had to die in order to kill Tom"

"W-what do you mean?" 

I explained the horcruxs and what they all are. I then, finally, tell Severus he needed to learn Occlumency and proceed to start teaching him since i remember learning both Occlumency and Legilimency. This process, i knew, was going to take us a long time but i also knew Severus could not let Tom find out what i know
