Chapter 9

After we show James and Sirius how to use the phone they got James' parents to get one imedently and they started to call us all the time. It was quite annoying really but i was nice to see them so excited about something that wasnt pranks or Lily. Of course Lily would yell at and blame me every time they called but it was worth it

After Christmas Holiday we went back to Hogwarts and got ready with the last of thr year. I wanted to try and use the crystal ball again but i knew better. Instead i focused on my school work and hanging out with Sirius. Hell, i completely forgot about the crystal ball when Severus called Liky a mudblood. I had heard Lily's angry voice so i went to see what was going in and found Sirius, James, Remus, and Peter all standing on one side, Severus on the other, snd Lily in the middle. I had made it just in time to hear Severus call her a mudblood

She ran away with tears in her eyes and James went to attack Severus but i jumped in and took all of there wands before turning to Severus with my wand out and my hand shaking a little in anger.

Severus stared at me with wided eyes that had both fear and regret in them

"Come near Lily again and you will suffer dearly for it Snap"

He flinched a little when i called him Snap but said nothing as he watched me. Finally i turn and walk away angerly

"What the hell Bud!? Did you not hwar what he called Lily? How could you-"

I stop, turn, and punch James in the nose hard making him fall the ground then glare at him silencing anything he was about to say

"He wouldnt have said that had you not bullied him all his Hogwarts school life. Dont you DARE raise your voice at me Potter. You stay the hell away from Lily as well. I thought you had grown up some but obviously your still the immature toe rag youve been since 1st year"

I look to Sirius with the same glare but say nothing as he looks down unable to look at me. I then look to Remus and Peter with the smae glare but they dont look at me either. Scoffing i toss there wands fo the ground then turn and walk away. I knew Lily would either go to her room or mine, she is smart enough to figure out some of our riddles so she can come into the Ravenclaw house area and most of the Ravenclaws dont mind seeing as they know i have a close bond to Lily

Thankfully i did find Lily at the painting trying to get in while crying. I easily answer the riddle and lead Lily to my room and let her cry into me

After that i would hex James any time he came near Lily and send him a glare. Severus kept his distance from Lily and watched her from afar with a sad look in his eye but a blank face.

It wasnt till the last week of school that he came up to me. I made sure to glare at him as i watched him

"I finished it," he offers me a potion in a small bottle, "Drink it and it will relax your mind and block your emotions enough to be able to see visions without freaking out and trying to force them. Wait until you feel completely relaxed then look into the crystal ball. It will take several days for it ir wear off so your mind has time to process. Once ut does wear off your emotions will run wild for a few days. Its normal"

I stare at him for a moment before slowly taking thd bottle. He turns and starts to walk away only to pause but then walks away again.

I look down at the small bottle in my hand before turning nad heading off to the one class room i havent gone near since before Christmas brake.

Luckily no one was there so i closed the door then grabs a ball and sat in a seat. I downed the potion in one go and waited. It took no time at all for my body to relax completely and for all emotions to vanish. I felt nice and relaxed just sitting there. I didnt have a care or worry in the world. It could end right now and i wouldnt care. Hell i almost forgot what i was supposed to do

Looking down at the ball i pick it up and hold it in my hands as i stare into it. I wasnt trying to do anything i was just looking. For a while nothing happened but i didnt mind. Then, slowly, smoke came and filled the ball before i saw all my visions much clearer and in much greater detail.

I just sat there watching the visions without a care in thd world. I wasnt even sure how long i was watching them i was just sitting there watching them like a tv show

"Bud!?"

I turn my head away from the ball and see Sirius looking at me worriedly.

"You should relax. Your too tense," i turn back to the ball, "You know.....even in these visions......the colors are dull. The only time the colors that showed up were when James' and Lily's son was born"

"A-are you ok?" He asks now closer then before while i kept watching the visions

"What does ok mean? Everyone says it but what does it really mean?"

Nothing more was said and the visions end and the smoke leaves the ball. I put the ball down then look up at Sirius

"I saw how Lily dies. And James. And you. And Remus"

"Why are you so calm?" He now seemed a lot more worried

"Severus gave me a potion. The potion took my emotions away and cleared my mind"

He looked mad before grabbing my arm and yanking me out of the room and down the hall. I did care thst he did, it made no difference to me, so i just followed best i could as he sped walked while holding my arm.
