my jaw dropped. like i said before, i didn't really want to be in the spotlight, but i also wouldn't mind. i was more against it than for it.

"is this something that's going to affect you and the girls?" i asked, i was concerned for their sake, not mine.

"it's possible, but we're not for sure. the only concerning part is the speculation about us dating."

"i mean, you can always clear up the headlines, right? or is it a process? i don't know if your management makes you run things by first or not."

"no i can clear it, i'll keep your name out of it. hopefully everyone respects it" she quickly grabs her phone and makes a quick tweet.

hi once! i just wanted to come on here and clear a few things! that woman is our new photographer, and to respect her privacy, we're going to keep her name private. there is no 'mysterious' woman, it's just our photographer. please respect her privacy! <3

before she posted it she asked for my approval, which i thought was sweet. i would've been okay with anything she posted, but what she said was enough. eventually we made our way back to everyone. some of them smirked, but some looked concerned.

"is everything okay?" jihyo asked

"an article was posted saying that dahyun here had a mystery woman that she was cozying up with." i said. everyone's mouth was just hanging open

"so i had shown y/n, i wanted to respect her privacy, but also wanted to clear everything up. which is what i tweeted. that's why we stepped away." dahyun said while smiling, to show that the situation was cleared up.

"oh okay, as long as everything was sorted out, now come back dahyun we have to finish watching" sana dragged dahyun over back to the couch and they were cuddling. i never minded when sana gave affection to the girls, she was an only child so she craves physical affection. it never bothers me, i honestly think it's quite cute, it's her way of showing love. they finished watching whatever they were watching, and we all decided to go out for lunch. it was nice to just relax and do what we want.

we all finished getting ready and made our way to the restaurant. everyone had their caps and masks on. we got to the restaurant, and our table was in a secluded-ish area. mostly covered, but not entirely. i felt eyes on me the entire time. just like when we were at the restaurant where we filmed the chocolate factory episode. it creeped me out. it was just an awful feeling of unwanted tension. i didn't even realize that i had started zoning out until i felt someone tapping me.

"hey y/n, what's wrong? i can sense something's up." jihyo asked.

"huh? oh.. i don't know i've felt eyes on me this entire time, like i'm being watched. i'm not sure if i am or not, but it's bothering me." i looked around the restaurant, but couldn't see any eyes.

"found them" dahyun said, i forgot she had a talent for finding cameras. it's like a sixth sense.

"what? where?" chaeyoung asked

"y/n can't see them because of where she's sitting, but from where i am, they're over in the left corner. they had their phone out taking pictures. i could sense it. i gave an evil glare since they saw they were caught and quickly put their phone away" she said, and we all started laughing

"your eagle eyes will never get old tofu" momo said. after a couple of minutes from looking over the menu, the waitress came by and took our orders. i didn't feel those eyes on me anymore, thankful for dahyun and her eagle eyes. we were all having such a great time, and then i felt my phone ringing. i excused myself from the table.

"hi honey, is everything okay? i just wanted to make sure from our last talk."

"hi mom, yes everything is okay. at least i think. i kind of told her off this morning, and haven't heard anything since. i mean it's only been a couple of hours, but i hope it's the end of it. then there was an article about dahyun and i, that was handled."

"yeah i saw that, i also meant to ask about that too. are you guys a thing or what? i know she tweeted in reply, but i'm your mom, i'm nosy" i laughed at her comment

"well, yeah we are something. we both like each other, but we haven't gone on our date yet. we're trying to find the right time since we just got back. i have so much to catch you up on. i miss you so much mom"

"as long as you're happy! your dad and i were looking at flights. is it okay if we come soon? maybe in about 2 weeks?"

"i think that should be good. i'll have to double check, if anything i'm sure JYP will let me have you guys come around with me. i'm happy to hear you guys are coming!" i wasn't lying, i know i had a rough relationship with them, but being apart from them has made everything better.

"good, we'll see you in 2 weeks then y/n! i love you and miss you. bye sweetie!"

"bye mom, i'll see you soon, i love you too" i replied. i was so ecstatic to hear they were coming back. i came back to the table and apologized for stepping away, not being able to hold the smile that took over my face.

"not that we're complaining, but what's got you all happy y/n?" tzuyu asked

"that was my mom that was on the phone with me. she's coming to visit in 2 weeks and i'm so excited. i miss her and my dad so much" i said, smiling as i held my phone close to my chest

"aw y/n, that's so exciting! will we get to meet them?" nayeon asked

"i'm sure they would love to meet you girls. my mom was actually asking me about the whole article and said she felt like something was up. i told her i had to catch her up on everything that's been going on here" i laughed, and saw dahyun's face getting red. i giggled seeing her in that state.

we continued to eat and just talk about anything and everything. misamo's debut, jihyo's solo album. we're all so excited. i felt my phone go off and checked to see who texted me. it was just JYP informing us that he had some things to discuss. he asked us all to come by once we finished up with lunch. i let the girls know and when we finished we made our way over.

"hey girls, glad you all could come by. i'm sorry it was kind of short notice. good thing you were already all in the same place."

"yeah we were just getting some lunch, but is everything okay?"

"yes! everything is great, i just wanted you guys to know.. you're going on tour soon! in about a month and a half. the next two weeks you will be learning new choreography to some of your songs. we'll be releasing your comeback album next friday, then you'll go on tour!" all the girls squealed in excitement. they haven't gone on tour since covid happened, so you can imagine how excited they were. JYP dismissed us all, but i stayed back since i had to ask about my parents.

"hi sir, i just had a question to ask."

"oh please, drop the formalities y/n! what's your question though?"

"my parents are coming in 2 weeks, is it okay if they follow me throughout the day. i haven't seen them in a while, but i still want to continue to work."

"you're so hardworking, but of course they can! just make sure you're still working. i'd love to meet them too if that's okay! i have to know where all your skills came from" i nodded my head yes and made my way out, to my surprise, dahyun stayed back and waited.

"dubu, what are you doing here?" i said shocked, but insanely happy.

"waiting for you of course, come on love let's go back to the dorm!" we made our way back and just decided to have the night to ourselves. we made popcorn and grabbed a bunch of snacks and drinks and had a movie night. it was nice to be with her.
