time skip ~

after a couple months of working and planning, it was time for our wedding. i was so excited for this, i was like a little kid who was getting ice cream. we both agreed we wouldn't see each other until the time of the wedding, mina, chaeyoung, jihyo and momo were with me getting ready, then nayeon, jeongyeon, sana, and tzuyu were with dahyun.. how dare we split the school meal club up. just kidding they decided that on their own. we decided to have a private wedding, although everyone in the world knew we were engaged, we wanted to keep the actual wedding itself private.

we finished getting ready, and the wedding was about to start. i was nervous as hell. i mean i'm about to marry the love of my life. i'm not getting cold feet or anything, but it's still nerve wracking. i'm more than excited to walk down this aisle and see her. it was almost my time to walk down the aisle, my dad came by my side and said a few things to me before we walked.

"you'll always be my little girl, you know that right?" he said, teary eyed

"of course, i will always be your little girl. i love you" i started to tear up, but tried my best to not let the tears fall.

"i love you so much, i'm so proud of you and who you've become, y/n." he gave me a hug, and the door opened for us to walk down. i wrapped my arm around his as we took our steps towards the alter. everyone who was there had stood up. smiling and crying for us. as i lifted my head, i met eyes with my beautiful soon-to-be wife. she looked absolutely stunning. those eyes that tell a thousand stories, her pale tofu like skin, and just everything about her was absolutely perfect. my dad gave me one last hug, before heading to his seat. i reached for dahyun's hand, squeezing it 3 times, it was our way of saying i love you without speaking.

"we are gathered here today for the mending of two loving souls. two souls who will be partnered through their lifetime, and will adventure on into the unknown together." the officiant said, i was so nervous, but so excited. it's not like everything was about to change.. just that i'll be married.

"i believe these two have prepared their vows. whenever you're ready, you may go ahead and read them." he said, dahyun going first.

"since we were little, you were always in my mind. there was a poem that stuck with me, but it always made me think about you." she took a deep breathe before continuing

"the distance was unusual, and the separation cruel, but real love never fades, and i will ultimately be by your side.." tears formed in both of our eyes

"even though i had left you when we were kids, i never stopped thinking about you, i never stopped caring for you. i always wanted to be by your side. you were my person from the day we met, and every day i fall deeper in love with you. i promise to stick by your side forever, to fight through the hell of life together. i promise to care for you, to always listen to you and hear your side of things. i promise to love and cherish you for the remainder of our lives. you are my one in a million, and i promise to never let you go." her voice was cracking from her trying to hold back her tears. we were both so happy, i knew by the look she gave me, that it was my turn for mine. i held back my tears as best as i could.

"every morning i wake up, and i think about how lucky i am to have such amazing people in my life. i gained new friends and family as i became more myself. however, there was always one soul that lived inside me. one that i'd never let go of, that soul went by the name of 'dede' when we were kids.." i paused while we all let out a small laugh

"dede couldn't pronounce her name properly, and little me thought she just didn't want to give me her name.. so i called myself nini. dede lived within my heart and soul. she reminded me that there is good in this world. whether or not i knew that i'd run into her again, i was lucky to have met her. then one day, i decided to make a better version of myself. i decided to do things for me instead of other people. i took a leap of faith coming here. then i ran into dede again. there was something always tying me along to her. i remember when we first kissed, i told you i was terrified because of my past, but after some talking with a certain penguin, i had come to my senses. i realized that i won't know what comes next if i don't take a leap of faith. you always pushed me to be the greatest version i could ever be, even when we were little. i want to continue to take leaps of faith with you by my side. i promise to never let you go, i promise to never let you feel unloved. i promise to always try and talk through our problems. i promise, to love you until forever." i ended up releasing a stream of tears when i finished. we had a few laughs in my vows... especially mina when i mentioned her.

"will the ring bearer present the rings?" we each grabbed our rings.

"dahyun, do you take y/n to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to cherish her through sickness and through health?" she slid the ring on my finger.

"i do." her bright smile shining to me

"y/n, do you take dahyun to be your lawfully wedded wife, to love and to cherish her through sickness and through health?" i slid the ring on her finger, with tears still streaming in my eyes.

"i do"

"by the power vested in me, i now pronounce you wife, and wife. you may now kiss your bride" with that we leaned in, earning cheers from our friends and family. it was now official. dahyun is officially my wife. i'm so excited for what the future holds for us. i'm excited to take this step with her. we finished with the reception, and had our after party. our wedding was in a forest kind of area, it was beautiful and stunning. we chose it because we absolutely love nature and wanted to be connected with it. there were beautiful cabins and a beautiful wedding reception area. our friends and family found their seats. the night went on and everything was absolutely perfect. i couldn't have imagined a better person.
