it's been a couple of days since she last texted me. i was happy, she finally accepted it, i hope. the girls started working again and they've been so exhausted lately, so me being me, i of course took care of them. their comeback "ready to be" releases today, so we're having a small little release party at the dorm. i was so insanely proud of my girls, they've worked so hard, and they always do. they really are the hardest working people i've ever met. they were getting the details for the tour, i was already told most of the details. my mom had been calling a lot, so much to the point where the girls steal my phone and start talking to her. it's a good thing my parents learned korean with me, but i swear i'm about to lose my title of daughter when they all meet her. as if on cue, my mom started to facetime me. luckily we were back at the dorm by now, and not around people.

"mom! what're you calling for? not that i'm complaining." i asked

"i'm here to congratulate the girls on their album, duh" she laughed and suddenly all the girls were surrounding me

"girls! how are you all?" suddenly, my phone is gone and i'm just sitting on the couch.

"we're good, we're just waiting!"nayeon said, but i don't know what they were talking about.. or what they possibly could be talking about

"you don't have to wait much longer, i promise!" my mom replied. the girls were squealing with joy.

"wait much longer for what?" i was so confused at this point.

"how much y/n's mom?" i thought it was funny they don't call her by her name

"girls i told you just call me jen! but right now." they all turned around and looked at me. confusion plastered all over my face. i heard a knock at the door, and the hang up tone from my phone. i went to go open it and to my surprise

"hi sweetie!" my mom said with my dad next to her

"mom? dad? what are you guys doing here?? i thought you weren't coming until next week!" i said while running and hugging them

"well, we were, but the more we talked to the girls the more they wanted to meet us. they knew that we were coming next week, but they all got jyp's permission, and set up a whole thing for us to come today. quite some friends you've got here"

"yeah they're the best. where's your stuff though?"

"oh we dropped it off at your dorm earlier. dahyun showed us where you live.. you should really lock your door you know." i laughed at her statement, i mean she's right i probably should lock my door

"yeah yeah" i turned around and looked at the girls

"you guys did all this for me?"

"of course, every time we hear you on the phone with her we all can hear how much you miss them, but also how happy you are to hear their voices. we also just really wanted to meet them too hehe" mina said

"i guess my korean paid off for you two then" i looked over at my parents. i convinced them to learn korean with me, but we still just spoke to each other in english. i was happy that they could understand them and just talk and chat. we got ready for the release and enjoyed the time in between just talking. while the girls were getting ready, i sat and talked to my parents.

"so, y/n, you have a lot to catch us up on" my mom said, raising her eyebrows and smirking.

"yeah yeah okay, um let's see. first, obviously i told you this, but i work for jyp entertainment. things have been going super well. next, i have the most amazing friends in my life, and i am so so happy i was given this opportunity to work with them and befriend them." i paused waiting to think of what to say next
