new beginnings {dahyun x fem reader}

the last day in switzerland was spent just site seeing. exploring anywhere and everywhere that we could before we left. unfortunately, we're back home now. however, we are still on a break so we don't have to work yet. dahyun and momo went out to go shopping, the rest are doing i don't know what. tzuyu and i decided to have some time together, so first we're going to an archery range. i wanted her to teach me how to shoot a bow and arrow. i was always intrigued by how she does it so effortlessly. we both agreed to teach each other something we're both good at. she's teaching me archery, and i'm teaching her how to play tennis. the rest of the girls knew what we were up to in case they ever needed anything from us.

"hey! ready to go?" tzuyu came up to me and asked

"yeah, just about. i just need to fill my water bottle up first. do you have water?" 

"no, could you grab me some too?"

"of course tzutzu. one second" i ran to the kitchen to get us some water and we made our way to the archery range. she did a few warm up shots, each one managing to hit the target. i was in shock, i mean honestly how does she do it? i decided to do some light stretching since it was going to be a pretty active day for us. after i finished with that, i went over and asked tzuyu how i should be.

"first you have to get the arrow with the bow, so you know, you can shoot it."

"obviously, tzu" we laughed together. she showed me how to get the arrow on the bow.

"then you're going to hold it like this, one hand on here, and the other is going to pull the string back." she showed me where to put my hands.

"great y/n! that's perfect, now lift and pull at the same time, as if you were trying to stretch and pull. like this" she showed me how to do it and i followed.

"tzuyu this is hard!"

"you're doing great, just take a deep breath and focus on where you want the arrow to go. when you're ready, just let go." i followed as she said, and when i let go, i hit the target.. just not on target. i hit the white space around it.

"that's okay y/n, it's your first time, but you still managed to hit the target! good job, ready to try again?"

"yeah, i think i am. this is cool tzuyu!" i grabbed the next arrow, and tried to put the arrow on without any help from tzuyu. i was determined to figure it out on my own without any help. it was tough, but i did it. after a couple practice shots, i was slowly getting better at aiming towards the target.

"alright, i think i got it down now tzu. i challenge you!" i said as we were walking to grab our arrows.

"oh you're on y/n" she said with a pure game face on.

"6 shots, highest wins." i said to her

"bring it on" we played rock paper scissors to see who would go first, and tzuyu won best two of three. she prepared her first shot, and she got 8. then it was my turn, when i released the arrow, i got a 7.

"1 point are you kidding?" i jokingly whined.

"you got this y/n" she replied back, lining up her next shot. she hit an 8 again. when it was my turn, i hit a 9. now we're tied!

"hey look at that, we're tied 16-16. only 4 more shots to go miss tzu" she drew the string back and let the arrow go. hitting a 10, then i hit a 10. it was a tight match. we're about to start our sixth shot, and the score is tied 44-44. she shoots her arrow, and she gets a 10. of course she would.

"go ahead y/n, you either tie the match or lose" she said. i drew back and focused on where i wanted this to land. i took a deep breath and released the arrow.
