Reeve's POV

"Are you sure about it?" My brows furrowed as I looked Morris in the eyes.

"Bloody sure, Reeve. It's odd, but I think Melissa married Frank for something. I don't think it's love. Melissa's father owe so much from the De Matris. Sa tingin ko ito ang kondisyon ng pagpapakasal niya kay Frank."

"What!? Damn, that's insane," Diego snorted.

"And not only that. You told me she left you early, two thousand twenty-one, right?"

I nodded, and my effing heart was about to come out of my chest.

"Yes, there's a record of that. . . Melissa arrived in the United States on that date, but she went to the hospital immediately. That's the only record I accessed through codes. Mabuti nalang at napasok ko ang sistema sa hospital na iyon, pero nawala rin and record ng ama ni Melissa."

Nagtagpong lalo ang kilay ko at napakuyom-kamao ako sa sarili. 

"Damn, what do you mean, Mors? May multo na ba sa hospital ngayon sa Amerika? Parang ayaw ko na yatang magpunta ng hospital ah." Diezel risen up from sleeping on the hammock.

"You gorilla! No. Not, of course. Someone is manipulating the system, dickhead!" Sapak ni Morris sa ulo ni Diezel.

"What the heck, Morris? My brains! Fuck!"

"Wala ka ng utak, kaya puwede ba makinig ka! Isasama kita sa operasyon ko bukas. Maraming pera ito. Makakabawi sa utang mo."

"Really? Damn, Mors. Thank you!" Diezel looped his arm around Morris's neck, and the two played fight.

Namaywang si Diego at natawa lang din. 

"So, what do you want me to do, Reeve? I got the little boy's location. Nasa theme park, at mukhang ang kaibigan ni Melissa pansamantala ang nagiging tagapag-alaga ng bata," si Diego sa akin.

My heart lit up, and I smiled. . . After all, there's only one thing I want to do. And that is to make sure Madison is mine.

"You can take your little boy with you," Morris suggested to Deigo, "They can play, and you can join the kids' show," he continued.

"Nah. I already told Cariena about it. But she didn't want our child to be in the middle of the of this. Ayaw niyang isali ang anak namin sa kabaliwan ko. Kaya mag-iisip nalang ako ang ibang paraan."

"True, Digs. Kahit naman ako. Ayaw kong idamay ang anak ko sa mga operasyon natin." Diezel shook his head.

"Nagsalita ang magaling," Morris voiced out.

"Oh, shut up! Let's get this all done. Do whatever you want to do. I will pay lavishly. Don't worry." I winked at them, and the three nodded.

"Okay. Then, leave it to me." Morris winked, and the boys trailed off.

I took a deep breath, and I was getting tense at the moment. I will be seeing Melissa any minute now, and I have to make my move smoothly. I need to lure her. I need to catch her feelings towards me. And this time. I will make sure that she can no longer escape from me.

My heart beats erratically the moment I saw her. Buo na ang desesyon ko kagabi. Magpapakilala na ako sa kanya. I am ready to face this reality for us, and I will no longer hide my feelings for her.

I know it's damn crazy, but the hell, I need to try... at least I have to try.

"You are part of my life, Melissa. . . I've waited for you. I waited two years for you, Mel. . . What happened to you? Ano ba ang nangyari sa pangako mo? Why did you abandon me?" I gritted my teeth, and my hands fisted. We stared, and the shock on her face was visible.
