Love Spell

Marco and Star walked into the house after a long day at school. Finally, It was the weekend!

"Finally home, eh Marco?" Star said as she bumped shoulders with him.

Marco didn't respond and just sat down on the couch.

"Marco, what's up?" Star asked.

"I just... don't think I'm getting anywhere with Jackie..." he sighs.

"What do you mean?" She asks.

"Well... I keep saying hi to her and everything but her answers seem kinda... I dunno... bland?"

"What? You think she's getting more and more disinterested in you?"

"Yeah. If she thinks I'm boring there's no way in hell I'll ever get to be her boyfriend..."

Star pondered for a moment and suddenly, her cheeks turned into lightbulbs.

"What? What are you thinking?" Marco asked as he noticed this.

"Well... I can just use my magic! Like... a love spell! How about that?"

"No way! Star that's cheating! And besides, most of your spells don't exactly go as planned..."

"I mean... yeah. But c'mon! You trust me right?"

"No way"

"Fine! Your loss"

"Star. If I really wanna be with Jackie. I want it to be real. Not just some spell keeping her in line"

"Okay..." Star said sadly.

That night, Star snuck into Marco's room.

"Hehe... so, Marco... you say you want a real relationship with Jackie huh? Well... what if you don't know I'm involved? Star said manically.

Star lifted her wand.

"Heartstring Blast!" She whispered as the spell cast.

The blast, which took the gauze of a puffy heart, hit Marco and he began coughing in his sleep.

"Wait... that's odd... it was supposed to go out of the window and hit Jackie... pshh... I must have misread some parts. I'm sure this will all be fine..."

Star walked into her room and flipped open her book of spells. There, she saw Glossaryck trying to get some sleep.

"Wh-? Princess Butterfly?" He asked groggily.

"Yeah. Glossaryck. Have I done this spell right? It was supposed to leave the room and hit Jackie but it hit Marco instead and I'm not sure I did it right"

"What spell did you use?" He asked.

"I used Heartstring Blast..."

"Oh... Pshhh... that should be fine..." he said tiredly.

"Oh, okay! Thanks Glossaryck!"

"No problem... now let this being sleep..."

Star happily skipped to her bed and tucked herself in.

"Heh... come Monday and Jackie will be head over heels!" Star whispered as she fell asleep.

Finally, morning came. Star was awoken by a small nudge. It was Marco, still in his PJ's, and he was holding a tray.

"Oh, Star! I'm so glad you're awake! I made you breakfast in bed! Just lie down and relax" Marco said happily.

"Oh, uh... thanks, Marco!"
